  2. I'm going to close this thread as even I'm confused as to what I've still got and what I've sold (although most of it's now gone). I'll list remaining items separately. Thanks for your interest folks 👍
  3. Agreed, PinkMohawk. I'm sure there are extra options we'd all like to make our perfect Fender Bass. As for me, I'd want a selection of previous model pickups, such as the original V-Mod and Pure Vintage Custom Shop 64's. I'd also like the option of the small/tall Vintage Reverse Tuners. We're a picky lot, aren't we?
  4. OK, thanks Tony for the reply and postcode. I should be able to do some estimation and checking of couriers later today, so will get back to you asap.
  5. Annoyingly, I can't find my blacklight. Tone demo incoming today. This is a lot of fuzz for £45 I am telling you 😁
  6. Selling my Ken Smith BT 5. Original Smith Electronics, Pickups and Hardware Original Teardrop Hardcase 18 mm String Spacing. „Real“ neck-through of the early 90s The bass is in good condition, some Dings and Dongs. Frets are good, action is low, truss-rod works without any issues. Considering trades with Adamovic or Mattisson 33 Scale basses or partial trades with a Noble DI (I sold mine and I regret it)

  7. With these barrel jacks, before soldering them I always use a multimeter and a stereo jack to check what each lug actually is as they are all of different length without any standardisation...
  8. I think you should make it more clear in the topic subject that this supersale isn't real... 🙃
  9. Check out some videos that teach you how to read/write proper drum notation using simple rhythms. I got my "mental grid" through that!

  11. Legend has it that the Palmaris Longus was gifted to early bass players by the Bass Gods themselves. This elusive tendon—missing in about 14% of the population—is said to be the secret behind the legendary groove of players like Jaco Pastorius and Bootsy Collins. Without it, your slap technique will always sound like you’re patting a wet sponge, and your fingerstyle tone will lack what scientists refer to as "thumpaliciousness." In fact, ancient bass scrolls declare: “He who lacks the tendon of groove shall never truly funk.” So, before you invest in another boutique pedal or vintage amp, check your wrist. If you don’t see that magical tendon pop up when you touch your thumb to your pinky and flex your wrist, well... you know where you're at.
  12. This. once you reach pension age, the mortgage is paid off and the kids are off your hands, you can just play what you enjoy and not worry about whether it will go anywhere or pay the bills. A job keeps some money rolling in and helps you stay in touch with the human race. It's a good place to be.
  13. Hi H = 44cm (incl feet) W = 47.5cm D = 40cm (51 P bass pic for comparison purposes!)
  14. Price drop - now £375 posted in the UK.
  15. I'm having a clear-out of gear I either don't use or don't use very well, these mics fall into the latter category. By 'don't use well' I mean that while I use them for voice recording, I don't really use the modelling functionality, and while these are stunning mics in pure hardware and functionality terms, a pair of SM7-Bs also work just as well for my needs. I've owned these since 2022 and they've had mostly spoken word use in that time. I bought them having already used UAD hardware and plug-ins (UAD subsequently bought Townsend Labs and these are now branded the UAD Sphere DLX https://www.uaudio.com/products/ua-sphere-dlx-modeling-microphone?srsltid=AfmBOorgjZ5kwOqTV-2uCtMPcc25_I2vJglALwqt2tpzagSQOZNPbLyK). Having read this review https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/townsend-labs-sphere-l22 I was really excited at being able to modify mic models/orientation in post-production. But to be honest, I've never really needed to, and barely have the time to record these days, let alone to spend hours playing around with different mics afterwards. But I suspect that in a Pro or Semi-Pro studio these, and the software that comes with them, could be a gamechanger. Included with each mic is the shock-mount, cable, mic stand adapter, soft case, and hard case. I'll get some more pics up later. They retailed around £1450 each and sell used on eBay at between £800-900 so at £750 these are competitively priced, if you wanted them both I'm happy to haggle. Happy to courier or for collection/meet-up I'm also going to be moving on a few more items of studio gear that isn't getting enough use to justify staying
  16. Just to answer, he said he's not between tours, he still plays drums in a couple of local projects. He's 67 (doesn't look it).
  17. I remember them as a nice bunch of lads. They used to frequent a local jamnight I went to years back every Friday when they were learning their trade.

  20. Totally agree, don't practice mistakes, and sleep is the magic sauce. I realised I missed out step 0: make a playlist and listen to the songs as much as possible. Timings are interesting: I've found it quite easy to intellectualise harmony as it is lots of number relationships and I've learned about the theory, but I've not gone through that process with rhythm, probably because I've never been through formal training. So I don't have a clear mental model to slot timings into, I tend to learn through repetition. My plan is to learn how to use music notation for timings so that I can map what I'm learning onto that, like I do with harmony. I think I'll be able to remember timings much more easily when I've mastered that.
  21. Great condition. Hardly used as I prefer to use my pjb c8 for the small number of gigs I'm currently doing so it's gathering dust. Nice little lightweight 1x12 though with a switchable tweeter, very loud for its size. Plenty for a small single cab rig. Tilt back facility for better monitoring and ampfix plate on top for use with Eich amps with magnets. Collection only from Chatham, Kent. No postage.

  22. Another reason to not have any social media... Genuinely, the world would be a FAR better place if it didn't exist at all.
