I recently realised I can use the boss Katana:Go connected via USB to my iphone to record my bass directly in the camera app. It wouldn't record the AUX in though so you'd still need to sync up to the backing track audio. It'd probably be less faffy than syncing video to audio though. -

Polyphonic pitch detection is very difficult, requiring lots more resources than monophonic tracking. That’s not to say it couldn’t perhaps be done as one of the two currently-unused apps in the pedal. Polyphony/paraphony has already been under discussion (for MIDI-triggered uses). I’d like to push the idea of on-pedal patch management as that will benefit all users.

Had a few tracks pretty much done, thought I'd try and fix them up good enough (by my standards anyway) to put them up on bandcamp. everything you hear is me. Drums were live recorded. Bass used was a 6 string squier affinity jazz (amazing value!). Guitar was a thomann DIY prs style. All effects/processing done using guitar rig. Used reaper for daw. I`ve read that in a few places, and agree that whilst it might not seem particularly taxing playing straight 8s (or 16s) through a whole track spot on is much harder than many would think. Probably many wouldn`t even realise how off they were until seeing the notes on the display in the studio - myself def included in this. It`s quite eye-opening to see just how much you`ve wavered when you thought you`d nailed it. Not all skills involve every fret and every string in a verse.

I've regularly gigged Harley benton, squier, fenders, vintage.... anything. If it sounds good, then it's good enough. However... I do have to say for auditions for bands and jobs, I've always found turning up with that Fender logo really does help (although it shouldn't). To other people it's much more than just a logo. It boosts your chances before you've even played a note. Again, unfortunate, but just what I've found.

I have heard this very amp and chocolate does indeed come to mind. Gorgeous, authoritative, punchy sounding thing. As Jack says, as long as you can deal with it not being a lightweight flibbertygib of an amp, it will make someone very happy -

Get your stock one cloned. Either Brian Pillans (earlpilanz on eBay - https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/earlpilanz) or TinyTone - https://tinytone.co.uk/ will do this for you - you remove the pickguard from the bass, send the pickguard to them, they copy it in whatever material you want then send both of them back to you. -

True, however, it turned out to be a career changing moment for them and considered one of the best performances at Live Aid. After the Live Aid show, all of U2's albums re-entered the charts and broke them into America. So it turned out to be a good thing for them.

I've recently purchased a 2nd hand Spector Euro LX4 which I love a lot both in terms of playability and sound BUT I have a problem, I guess, with the Tone Pump preamp. Instead of trying to describe it in my non native language I attached an audio file of the noise I get from the preamp for you to listen. At the beginning of the audio file bass and treble knobs are fully counterclockwise and you could hear the very annoying noise: then I go to full on the treble knob and you can of course hear the noise increase. Before giving your valued advice please note that: 1) The noise is always there: it gets worse if I stay closer to the amp and face it but, tough less evident, it’s still there even if I stand 6 meters away and turn my back to the amp. 2) It’s not the battery (tried couple of fresh duracell 9v); 3) It’s not the cable (tried many); 4) It's not the amp (other basses don't do it) and It’s not the preamp section of the amp (-14db is engaged on the preamp, if it’s disengaged things get worse; also if bass is plugged in the effect send/return of the amp noise it’s still there). 5) It’s not a matter of adjusting the trimpot on the TonePump (noise it’s still there even with the trimpot almost to zero); Thank you for any idea, tought, advice you want to share.. Maybe a complete non-starter, but was thinking that given that synth pedals have to track pitch, would pitch shifting, which a lot of pedals struggle to do well (even dedicated pitch shift pedals!) be something they could be set up to do? Basic pitch shift would be excellent in itself, but there's then maybe the possibility of chords too?
