I cannot. It comes from being shot with a camera - the verb induces the condition
-
Delrin is also my preferred material.
-
Can I ask what colour the pink lacquer is, please, and where you found it?
-
I like the JD Delrin 500 in 1mm and 1.5mm and they are very grippy Normal teardrop shape
-
Most definitely, my preference at present is .73, I have 3 different types: Fender Medium - nice warm, even/vintage sound Dunlop Tortex - more upper mids and highs to the sound Dunlop Ultex - modern, scooped sound At home I prefer the Fender, but for the band the Tortex

Sorry to hear this. The moderators will I’m sure be able to check/remove any offensive content @ped

Also what sounds lacking in isolation can sound perfect with the band Definitely helps if you tweek the EQ to pull back some of those massive increase in mids when you use a pick Some songs it works but I’ve found reducing mids slightly works but don’t overdo it as you then get buried in the mix

I am so sorry to hear that. Thank you so much for setting the record straight. The internet is a cruel and mistrusting place. Your story is the only one that counts.

The material the pick is made out of will make just as much difference as the thickness. If you are still finding your way playing with a pick get a load of different ones in a variety of shapes, sizes, thickness and materials and try them all. There is no right answer when it comes to using a pick, and in fact a lot more variables to deal with since different thicknesses and materials can make a massive difference to the sound. And again there is no right answer to what EQ to use. It will depend not only on all the factors above but also how you want the bass sound to fit into the mix of the other instruments.

Order cancelled, as I found a guitar I really regret selling years back on the used market. A Westbury Deluxe, made on the legendary Matsumoko factory in Japan, sometime in the early 80's, and pretty rare find on the used market. My favorite guitar ever. It does not have the original Di'Marzio pickups, which is a bit of a shame, but still some decent Seymour Duncan ones. This is the beauty:

In my old band where I need a harder attack I use .88, in my classic rock band I`m on .73, and looking at .60 as want to reduce wear & tear on my poor paws. I find with the Precision being quite middy a thicker pick encourages lows & highs better, whereas with my Sandberg Jazz being less middy the thinner pick helps bring mids back in.

Sorry that this is not really bass related, but this has to be said. Just writing this to make things clear about me and Lorne Peakman with the basses / guitars that I was selling. I was hoping to not have to open old wounds, but with the alarming number of comments I have seen about me and my family, I had to get things out. First and foremost, I am his BIOLOGICAL DAUGHTER! Not his mistress that he crawled back to after he was kicked out of our family home. He was also not the man you all thought he is on the internet. He was an abusive father, who had abused myself and my three brothers. Emotionally and physically. He had 5 kids that we know of, one of them from a previous relationship before he was with my mother which he was no longer allowed to contact. We had to have the police come around for months to keep him away from us and to have him removed. I was the one who had called the police on him to be removed after he had hit one of my brothers and spat on my baby brother who was in my mother’s arms. Amongst all this, he had been trying to break into our home, threatened to k!ll himself over text to me at 14 years old and kept manipulating one of my brothers to give him information by bribing him with money and video games. He was also the person who would not get a job and would claim benefits for all his life. It was to the extent that he was wanting to keep my severely autistic brother to stay in nappies for an extra £5 a month. That being said, he had never once paid any form of child support, which my mother never asked for from him before rumours are spread about that, the only money we saw from him was on our birthdays and Christmas before he realised his manipulation tactics would not work. He would use my mother’s money, that she had worked hard for, to fund for his luxuries before he was thrown out of the family home. That includes all the BCRs, PlayStation consoles and alcohol. My mother and him was together for 17 years before all this happened, she tried to help him but he never accepted it. Towards the end of his life, he had stopped trying to contact us and manipulate us into bringing him back home and was focusing on his then girlfriend, Sascha Bennett. They had been doing drugs and drinking for what I can only assume was a few years until one night, Sascha Bennett had left his flat, leaving him to die alone. The coroner’s depicted his death to be drugs and alcohol. We had previously tried to sell the basses and guitars he had left behind due to taking up space within our home and they were the ones he had left behind. He had already claimed all of his belongings in the first few years, so whatever was left was stuff he didn’t want. For everyone who don’t want to read all that, TLDR; He was an abusive alcoholic that broken down his own marriage and family by not helping himself and who had used my mother’s money to buy all the basses / guitars in his collection, which we then sold off to clear space as we don’t want anything of his left here. I have now said everything about what type of person he was now please stop spreading misinformation about me and my family.

Saturday night I depped with a local band at a pub in Bracknell. Being a warm evening most people were outside so we just played to a small crowd inside. They seemed to enjoy the set but were muted in their appreciation... Decent payer and I had a nice compliment on my bass tone from a punter so not all bad
