  1. Past hour
  2. This is pretty good https://hazeguitars.com/sketchysetups#buysetupguide The Bass one is just $6
  3. Hi everyone. Price dropped to £1850 having looked at historical prices. Here’s my Spector Euro4 LT Rudy Sarzo in gloriously glossy scarlet red. I need to raise some car funds so you’ll see other lovely basses up for grabs in the next week or so. Serial Number NB18023 , so made Late 2021 to early 2022 in Czech Republic. I bought this from a Basschatter , though on Ebay , in March 2023. As usual, it’s had limited home use only due to my other basses pleading with me to play them. The previous owner didn’t leave any signs of wear at all so it really is in Mint Condition. Not even any minor swirls on the body, no fret wear and the ebony board is dark and pristine. Gorgeous mother of pearl inlays and the gold hardware contrasts so well with the body and glossy headstock. Measured with my digital calliper's it’s 41mm across Nut. ( Spec says 42 ) 43mm at first fret. 53.5mm at 12th and string spacing 18mm at saddles. 3.6kg 7lbs 14oz. Balances beautifully with a strap so feels even lighter. The lower rear corner of the bridge has some tiny tarnish spots , I can’t capture them on camera , they are so small. I polished the frets today, the board looks epic so I left that alone. Truss rod hasn’t been used by me but I tested it anyway and it adjusts smooth as silk. My usual 15-20 thou relief currently, fretting at first fret and near body. Nut slots are spot on for a business card under the strings at first fret when fretted at 3rd 👍. D’Addario nickel wounds 45 65 80 100. Not new but sound great to me. The Fishman Fluence humbucker pickups are superb and noiseless, powerful with great clarity. I’ve included screenshots of information below. If you watch reviews with RS on them you won’t learn much to be honest. Along with the Fishman 2 band pre amp , pickup blend and Volume controls the switch gives you 3 “Voicings” Classic, Fat and Round - Fishman say this is “Passive” “Active” - Full frequency range and full dynamics. “Active” - with Mids scooped. These are not passive pickups , the battery is engaged all the time so Fishman are using the words to describe the kind of tone really. If you pull the Volume knob you get a calmed down version of the 3 tones via the switch. “Coil Split “ they say, and it’s a good description. My Spector Euro 5LX has EMG Twin pickups and the single coil tones on that are just more subtle, in the same way as on my 4LT. There’s a lot of duff info out there but I’ve written the above description based on Fishman info only. I bought this bass because I was so curious, I haven’t been disappointed and I’m sure you won’t be either. It’s so versatile and responsive and with Spector characteristics too. I still have my Euro 5LX and a Pulse II 4 for Spector thrills ! My price includes UK mainland insured FedEx delivery so I’ll ask for an extra contribution if you are further away. The Spector , well padded, gigbag is included but I can use a good hard case instead if you’d prefer. Thanks for looking.

  4. My wife had some fabric remnants. Bit of black felt cut to size and held in place with a small amount of gaffer tape. Works a treat. Also keeps my aching thumb nice and warm. Mkii version will have a small bit of velcro to fasten. much better dampening, instant, and no harmonics or rattle.
  5. Bought from the Juan Alderete Reverb store when he had his big clearout. Had it shipped to the uk and professionally changed to UK voltage and the thru jack nut added (as it was missing/fallen off) Everything works perfectly and if you’re looking for a justification of why you should have a bigger heavier Khan DI, well these work as a passive DI 😇 you can also turn the tube on or off on the Thru. Since arriving, I’ve taken it to the studio, done a NAM capture and moved it from box to box in the house.

  6. Velcro applied, 3 holes drilled underneath for some reason. Newer style bag. Not really a lot else to say.
  7. Open to offers
  8. I love these, they are so well made and super adaptable. I wouldn’t trade mine for another type.
  9. Will take £75 for this
  10. Unopened never used, left over from when I had a million short scale instruments.
  11. There are 2 stereo Ernie ball, 2 mono Ernie balls and then 3 misc. I just have way to many misc things lying around currently. Open to offers if you don’t think I’ve priced it fairly.
  12. It’ll take full scale, the biggest issue is the gigbag you use. I did travel for a while with a Fender Mustang in a Gruv Gear Edge and it was great. A short scale certainly won’t be sliding about in it, it’s a tight fit with basically anything I’ve put in it.
  13. Good condition, full working condition just gone unused since I got my Cosmic Ears IEMs. https://europe.beyerdynamic.com/p/dt-990-pro?srsltid=AfmBOopuTll-6-lqys-r9elMFuaroilmZRy17PtNhXR3Ok9lGtXBY59l
  14. At present the Squier, happy to install the EMG Geezer for a sale 👍
  15. Me too, otherwise I'd have it GLWTS
  16. What’s pickup in it - did you fit the EMG?
  17. Agreed Mick, Whilst the SMX series added some useful bells and whistles such as compression and a blendable valve/solid state preamp, the Series 6 has a certain immediate clarity with clout never bettered by Trace Elliot.
  18. I realise it is sometimes difficult to capture the exact shade of a bass when taking pix for sale - God knows, some of mine have been awful - but I think they must have been drinking when they called that colour Burgundy! Lovely bass - GLWTS.
  19. I refuse to have such monstrosities bolted to my bass! Often have to de-tune for orchstra, but my 4/4 bass will go to C before the strings start to slap. Of course it does mess with fingering and the question of do I go C/D A D G or C G D G and pretend the bottom two strings are a cello! I never understood why the double bass world hasn't cottoned onto detuners. Quite often a piece comes up that briefly needs a low D or C and it would be good to detune for just part of a symphony etc ... its frowned upon somewhat to re-tune the bass between pieces, let alone between movements or during a long rest! Extensions and fifth strings are obviously a good way to achieve this, but a detuner would be neater.
  20. @HellzeroAmazeballs! Thank you 🙏
  21. Well, if you insist on going in at the same time as Trevor Horn, what do you expect?!
  22. fully carved bassfor sure. Hybrids and laminates are around the £800 to £1000 mark, so probably up to £1500.... which is what you appear to be asking on eBay. Bassbags sell fully carved factory basses for a lot more than this, starting around £2500 but Casswells have some around £1300 Of course it depends on what it sounds like!
