  3. Hey everyone! I don’t think this topic exists yet, so I thought I’d start one to showcase Mustangs and similar models – things like the Fender Musicmaster, Vincent Pony, Atelier Z Baby Z, and other Mustang-inspired basses. This is really just a “show us what you’ve got” thread – what you love, what you’re not so keen on, what’s on your wishlist, and any rare finds you’ve come across. Personally, I really got into Mustangs after the release of the Fender JMJ, and since then I’ve owned a few different Mustangs and their sister models. So let’s see what you’re rocking!
  4. Ha ha, yes it is, and you carried it in! It is a bit of lump.
  5. Turn That Noise Down - Chas & Dave
  6. They are certainly an acquired taste. Their office is just out of Bristol on the Bath Road. I've been tempted to pop in sometime but it never seems to be the right time.
  7. Not sure if these have been mentioned yet, and I’m assuming you’ll have a marmite reaction… https://lindoguitars.com/product/lindo-kawa-short-scale-electric-bass-travel-guitar/
  8. Git Down - Gaye Bykers On Acid
  9. Y'all will be pleased to hear that Bass On A Train worked fine... Minor problems were dragging the huge and heavy wheeled kitbag containing clothes and flightcased Helix up a flight of stairs in Shrewsbury (bass comfy strapped to back), long walk to change at the extra-isolated platform in Manchester Piccadilly and 10 minute walk in Blackpool to B&B. I sent the Helix back in the Band van to save carrying it again, which was good as connection was cancelled in Piccadilly meaning far more walking between different platforms to actually find out what was going on. End result was that I liked the actual train part, but not the changes nor the fact that out of 6 trains one was cancelled meaning connection missed and arriving home 6 hours late!

  12. Down Under - Men At Work
  13. Up for sale is my Reverend Thundergun bass in Venetian Gold – I believe only four of these were ever produced in this finish, making it one of the rarest Reverend basses around. A real collector’s piece, but also a phenomenal player. The Thundergun is known for its thick, old-school tone with plenty of punch and sustain. The raised korina body centre and thinner wings give it huge resonance, while the 5-piece set neck adds extra stability and harmonic richness. Specifications: Body: Solid korina Neck: 5-piece korina/walnut, medium oval profile Scale length: 34" Fingerboard: Rosewood, 12" radius, 21 medium jumbo frets Pickups: Thick Brick (bridge), Split Brick (neck) Hardware: Hipshot Ultralight tuners, heavy duty bridge (string-thru or top load, ¾” spacing) Controls: Volume, tone, pickup pan Nut: 42mm This is a pro-quality instrument that looks stunning and plays even better. The Venetian Gold finish really pops under stage lights, and with only four made, you won’t see another like it. Selling due to hand injury, otherwise would most definitely be keeping! Collection preferred but happy to ship normally around £15-£20. Feel free to ask any questions

  15. You prefer the pink one, @pete.young? https://lindoguitars.com/product/lindo-b-stock-kawa-short-scale-electric-bass-guitar/ I do quite like them, but the 5er they have is boring by comparison.
  16. Aaagh! My eyes!!
  17. I mean you won't hear the horizontal dispersion advantage - not that you won't hear the cab.
  18. Bought in the hope i could get away with 30 all valve watts but unfortunately not. Brand new JJ EL84’s fitted and comes with a spare set of EH valves. Really nice amp and tone to die for - if i could have this tone with more power id be in heaven! Collection from Bolton or could do a meet up. Could cut a deal if you want the ABM 4x10 ive also advertised on here

  19. You're forgetting one very important aspect: A carbon rod is passive. A truss rod is an active part. If you dial a curve into a truss rod it compensates the tension of the neck much more than a carbon rod that just sits there.
  20. Bottom Of The World - Tom Waits
  21. I have just bought Ash's hofner - a perfect transaction, comms and delivery.
  22. Actually I just really like the neck, can I buy just the neck?
  23. That is cool, but the solid-body Sahara is even cooler: https://lindoguitars.com/product/lindo-sahara-electric-bass-guitar/
  24. Now that's a proper band. Not enough bass players, though. Nice to see Tal, too.
