The USA EB MM Sterling is very comfortable, fast neck. The maple neck maple fret board are probably the best. The pickup has a huge tone range. There's a couple for sale at Bass Gallery and a lovely maple neck ash body at Bass Bros. -

As-new Shergold Telstar shortscale bass in Champagne Gold finish. Wonderful bass, plays and sounds fantastic, but with a couple of bills to pay, and a number of other excellent instruments, I need to downsize a little, last in, first out unfortunately. Roasted maple neck on these too, which is a nice feature! Comes with a very simple gig-bag/cover. It’s not suitable for shipping in, so collection or meet-up on this one. £300 Cheers Si

Thanks so much for the really helpful replies - that sounds very similar to what I'm used to with my Jazz. Oh dear... I feel another purchase coming on! Cheers Chris -
I’ve depped on bass regularly with bands, and because I spread myself over a few, I don’t need any one of them to provide full time work. You might strike it lucky and find a guitarist in the position of being a decent dep with other bands and who can adapt to yours too. That means he’ll be professional level instead of amateur, but won’t be expecting full time work with your band. In terms of fee I believe I get paid the same as the person I’m standing in for (in the case of typical cover/function bands which usually has a core/band leader and then various people on hand to dep.) I find it works both ways and puts me in contact with loads of other good players I can ask to dep with my own bands if the situation arises.

Price drop - now 210 Selling this lovely Bitmap in great shape with original box - it's basically mint apart of velcro. These received significant software update last year with additional clipping modes etc. Red Panda has also very convenient web editor for presets. Happy to trade (with price adjustments) for interesting dirt pedals. Bitmap occupies my "loose spot" for additional dirt in pedalboard and I'm just happy to experiment. Basic overdrive I'm covering with Capo. The ones I would love to try are EAE, Damnation Audio, Broughton, Bearfoot, Hiero etc. Would've thrown 3leaf in but what are the chances

I am afraid not. We only communicated via PM on here, and I honestly could not find her house now.

This is a TC BH800 class d amp. You know what it is... I've liked this amp but I'm trying out a new setup and this is no longer needed so... I have a one-in, one-out rule! Used at a gig this week and it delivered really well. It's on for £235 delivered (I don't have the original box but it'll be well packaged), if you want come and try it out first and collect in person I'll take the cost of postage off. Specs here https://www.tcelectronic.com/product.html?modelCode=0707-ACF Any questions just ask. Kettle lead included just because lord knows I don't need all the ones I have...

It's a good start. You need experience to be able to do the sharpening by hand but to get the experience you have to have a sharp chisel. It's a very useful hand tool around the house if you do nowt else with it.

Great bass in good condition, comes with hard case. Short scale. Not a heavy bass. Plays well. Not really any damage to speak of. There’s a little bit at the top of the headstock (photographed) but looks much worse than it actually is. I’ve removed the strap lock pins and replaced them with the originals that were odd when I got it. The case is old but fully function and all the clasps work. Since acquiring four Precisions and eying up another plus also needing a Jazz, it’s become surplus. I have an addiction at the moment. I admit it. There I’ve said it. I also need an original Barefaced Compact 15 and an original Midget 😂😂😂😂 Can post at buyers expense or can be collected from BB22SH Any questions please ask.

I would say that I would also not usually be a fan... all my other instruments are some version of natural finishes/sunbursts. But for some reason the piano black on the smaller than usual jazz bass body, with the dark rosewood board, mint pick guard... looks excellent! It's also lightweight and plays great! What more could you ask for...

A first review on bass, looking at just the presets... Maybe just a couple on there that I might be tempted to use e.g. 49 T-Wah, but I suspect the value-add, as with many multis is going to be from creating our own patches.
