  1. Past hour
  2. Awesome, tiny tuner. Nuff said!
  3. The Envelope Filter I always come back to, but have realised that given the vast majority of my gigs that multi-effects is the way to go. Boxed, in lovely condition with one tiny nicknon the side. Would consider trades for basses, a maple Fender neck, or possibly an an amp head, but would very much prefer a straight Sale.
  4. I can't see that radius should have any bearing on anything (other than personal preference) as the strings plane along the neck will be the same regardless. A typical upright bass has a much tighter radius and still produces that characteristic mwah if adjusted properly.
  5. Well have been down a deep rabbit hole. Sitar bridge design, javari, the gotoh buzz bridge, mohan veenas. All very interesting. And to think some folks complain about the complexities of setting up a bass bridge.
  6. It largely depends on the rig you're playing through and the kind of sound you're aiming for. I like ditching the preamps and drives when I'm noodling at home occasionally for a change but it doesn't fit the music I'm playing in the band I'm in. There's other times ive just taken a straight DI and tweaked the EQ slightly and it's fit perfectly.
  7. It's a hypothetical scenario.... but a similar situation arose for a friend of mine and I was interested in how it would make others feel....
  8. That's very nice. If my P bass sells before this Ill be interested
  9. (Ignore - I re-read the OP and deleted!)
  10. Yes. First step is a private conversation to assess their true viewpoints and to see if they can be made to see reason. If not, we're done. I will never not hate the hateful, and I wil not be quiet about it.
  11. How have you come upon said information in your scenario? Have they told you? It's likely that most people will have a different opinion to you on some subject or other. It all depends on how much they choose to advertise that opinion! If it's not at all, then how would it impact your band? And if it's every day, I could see how that might cause interpersonal issues.
  12. Well, firstly welcome and you’re in the right place to get polite and well-reasoned advice with this 👍 if it were me, all over again, I’d first get a teacher to make sure I hadn’t picked up bad habits from self-tuition we have lots of US members here btw @Bluewine @jd56hawk @dclaassen amongst others, you aren’t the only one
  13. I just got another one of these. Last year I was looking for a one pedal solution, and as much as I liked this pedal, it did cut it for me, at the time. Now im going for a 2 box solution. EDB Microbass 3 for preamp and tuner, plus comp, and one external box for everything else. This time around im going to use it as a phaser/Chorus/OD (mostly OD) in conjunction with my Microbass 3 for now. I looked at pretty much everything on the market, but couldnt find anything close to this for this task. Almost got the ToneX one, but it seems fiddly to go between the above effects without extra work. Same with the GP-5. Thought about the HX One but again, seems fiddly. I dont need much, but what little I do want only seems to be in the MS60-B+. I think the MS60 will also work well for headphone practice, as I will get back the IR/cab sim feature. Maybe at some point I will sell the MB3, but I like the ability to adjust EQ settings with real knobs.
  14. The world, as we know, is a volatile place right now with everyone (myself included) taking sides.... I'm interested to know, if you found out that an existing bandmate, or potential bandmate, was e.g. racist, homophobic, fascist etc.... would it make you reconsider working with them? Lets not turn this thread overtly political or into a slanging match if we can help it (this isn't Talk Bass) but I'm genuinely interested in people's thoughts. I'm not talking Labour voter/Conservative voter stuff here...... but, personally, I'm not sure that I could share a car/splitter/dressing room/stage with someone with far right or homo/transphobic views. I would need to call it out and that kind of drama would kill the band. I have been in musical situations where another musician is a full-on 'conspiracy-theorist' and I have simply turned off from listening to them or changed the subject rapidly, but I couldn't do that in the above situation.
  15. Very nice, what make is the Batwing?
  16. you may be building them, but they're paying
  17. No, I’m building them 👍
  18. Hi everyone, I’m Laura, new here and still finding my way around the bass. I started playing a few months ago on a [model of your bass, e.g., Yamaha TRBX174], mainly practicing at home and trying to build solid fundamentals. At the moment, I’m a bit unsure about how to structure my practice time. Sometimes I end up just running through random exercises or playing along with songs I like, but I feel I’m not improving as efficiently as I could. So I’d love to hear from you: How do you structure your daily or weekly practice routines? Do you focus more on scales, technique, or full songs when starting out? Are there any “must-learn” exercises or tips that really helped you in the early stages? I really appreciate any advice or stories you’re willing to share. Excited to be part of this community and learn from experienced players here! Thanks, Laura Woods Granny Game
  19. The original post was back at the start of June. The Guild deal mentioned fell though, as it had unresolved issues, so no pictures. I have played the rest quite a bit. The Spectorcore is the newest, and is my backup so travels around the country with me. Point taken though as I haven't had the time to enjoy them as I should.
  20. Welcome to the beginning of your inevitable breakdown once you dig a bit below the surface on BC. If you think you've got gas now, to quote a song from some time ago, "you ain't seen nothin' yet?"
  21. Donald Trump built them. He was the 1st to build them and noone has ever built them faster, cheaper or better....
  22. Grooms Tune - Dolly Parton & Family
  23. Electrical interference in live line or electromagnetic interference are invisible so we can’t know what/where the source is unless trouble shooting it like this.. Unplugging everything but amp may help to see.. Applies for the rest of the house.Never know. I love to overthink you know. 🤦‍♂️ Back in the good old days of CRT TVs and two stroke mopeds riding by your house, sometimes you could tell before it could be heard 😁 due to f*cked capacitor in moped’s ignition 🤦‍♂️😁 And to be honest sometime it may depend on the time of the day as the source of this (interference) may be even outside your premises.. Entirely possible that less buzz is generated at e.g midnight.. Let’s see what happens when trying it somewhere else..
  24. Its thick and chewy 👌
  25. And is creating merch to say so
