  1. Past hour
  2. Mine too - In fact I picked it up from its previous owner, a very interesting chap who had been in a beat type group in the 60s and was shifting stuff out, He had a very impressive Vox value bass stack from the 60s that was probably worth quite a bit now, that he bought new from the factory that he had no interest in buying. And quite a few interesting stories.
  3. Inside looking out - The Animals

  5. Don’t bring pugs into it… let’s concentrate on diminutive humanoids!😂
  6. Y'know I find Basschat somewhat bizarre! I remember all the gigs I played in England and Wales using 50W amps. I was never at a loss for volume! Now here are you guys saying that you need 500W in order to be heard in an average British pug. I find that incomprehensible. Back in the day I would have died for an amp as powerful as an Elf! If an Elf is not enough for your needs add a second one with its speaker system to increase your volume. I can only imagine how loud your band must be.
  7. Thorn In My Side - Eurythmics
  8. Is it just me or are the mutes on the wrong way round on the bridge?
  9. Incidentally, I feel I have to point out that these were shot in September 2020, just before Lockdown #2 came over the horizon. The reason this matters is that I used Lockdown #2 as an opportunity to learn video editing so these two videos are pretty much the last I ever did before that. And they're both perfect, error-free "One-ers". Eat your heart out, Steven Spielberg ...
  10. The rather 'arch' comment early on about rubber straplocks @ped was a then-current reference to something under discussion on Basschat at the time.
  11. Depends on the cabs impedance. If it is 8Ω the amp will be giving much less than it's 4Ω capability.
  12. Oh looky looky looky what I've found - my original pair of NBD videos from five years ago!
  13. Sadness and shock. Although frail I don't think anyone would have thought that Ozzy was going to pass away so soon after the Back to the Beginning concert. He was part of a band that changed music and will always be amongst a small group of musicians who are legends.
  14. I don’t really form emotional bonds to celebrities as they’re just normal people like you and me, but I always had a soft spot for Ozzy. My first big gig was Ozzfest. Great introduction to rock and live music. Seemed like he had a good life and a happy family. Isn’t that what most of us want?
  15. The neck is narrowish near the headstock. Bit jazz bass style. Yes, great tonal options and punchy.
  16. Markbass Travellor 1 x 15, 400 watt, 8ohm cab. In great condition. Hardly gigged. £250.00 Collection only or can meet within reasonable distance.
  17. So the song seems to me (listening while watching the football) to be in G, so I’d just use the G major scale as a guide to the notes you want to hit. (I can’t tab that out, but you can find it online!)
  18. Yeah, you’re right ! Now edited 😬
  19. My little tribute. 6 billion bats can sleep easlly tonight. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/crazy-train-ozzy-osbourne/

  22. Thank you all so much for the tips, I will keep pushing plying by ears hopefully I will make up something decent, this is an example of the song we are going to play, this is the acoustic version, simple, and as you can see there are little chord guitar, in your opinion how could I fit the bass into this song? Could you make an example of tabs for bass that could sound nice for this song? Thank you in advance
