    i don't understand the thought process behind the bridges on newer & special models with the bridge, what's happened to the bolts that screwed into threaded inserts into the body? it must be better for sustain surely, that to me is a step backwards! (cost cutting)??

    Not at all... photoflame doesn't change when you move the bass in the light. It's not AAAAA on the Harley but definitely real flamed maple.

    Surplus to requirements- useful EQ, good compression, big drive and mute switch. What is handy is the tuner out too. Can switch off LED blue lights on top knobs. Threshold LED not working built like a tank - heavy enough to be stand alone. Velcro if for board. postage £5 UK

    Done. However your left handed, right handed, ambidextrous question requires an option for those of use who do some things left handed and other things right hand, but can't do the left handed things right handed or vice-versa.

    Mesa has a custom shop, does it not? Might it be worth having a word with them as an interested party? Personally, I just love the idea of a complete, downsized version of my late-90s/early-2000s rig that’d be a bit easier on my pentagenarian back! And Ampeg have made a mint out of downsized SVTs for years… just saying.

Everything works perfectly - this is a proper workhorse of an amplifier, and small/light enough to use as a backup when gigging.     Here’s my 1990 green label CE-2, in great condition. It makes awesome chorus sounds, and will continue to do so far longer than any plug in (ooh, controversial! 😂). I’ll even post it within the UK for free! I must be mad! Cheers!

    I have to say that the 18-34 year old demographic is in a very precarious situation. If anyone needs to wake up and smell the coffee it’s that demographic. Modern day techno serfdom is tantalisingly close. The idea that corporate culture pays anything other than lip service to their values is also faintly ridiculous to me. The moment that the tide changes so will corporate culture.

    I see Nik Kershaw whenever he is nearby, not too often these days, sadly. He is an immense talent. Saw him do a solo acoustic gig at Union Chapel which was a huge amount of fun. He started to introduce 'The One and Only' and thanked Chesney for earning him so much money, adding 'Mind you, Chesney is a bit of a w@nker' only to be joined on stage by him a second later. Very funny. Then they played it, fantastic. As an aside, Nik Kershaw did a tour with Go West a few years ago. Go West would play some tunes, then Nik, then both together - all with the Go West band (who are fab). They all seemed to be having an absolute blast of a time. There was a bit where they played one of the others' songs but in their own style. Nik played 'Missing Persons' and his arrangement was just stunning. It remains one of the best gigs I have ever seen.
