  2. You probably wouldnt want Mrs S supervising your life Not a woman to be messed with.
  3. Would you care to give some background on this? As it seems like a counter-intuitive response.
  4. Wow, a Personal Assistant, can I ask them to help sort my work life out whilst taking a break from sorting yours? I do need help
  5. I probably should have said before, I'll bring a PA.
  6. Bit of a saga with this one. So I had an issue I assume with the preamp as it worked fine in passive. No output with the bass and treble off and tinny noise with maxed Fair play to Thomann who shipped the bass back at their cost and returned it “fixed” So now it sounds and plays great. But…..if I max the bass in active mode there’s Distortion even if I back the gain right of on whatever I plug into. Not a massive problem as there is tons of bass before it happens. Are they all like this ? any ideas

  8. If anybody is coming to the Bass Bash this weekend and wants some rolls and doesn't have Prime, I can order some and bring them down with me. It's only available in Red but at £5 a roll, it's cheap as chips. I might order more today anyway. Rob
  9. We haven't even started rehearsals yet, in fact we've never played half the set together! We should probably think about getting started...

It’ll give you all the warm lows and punchy highs you need R&B: Inspired by* the ‘68 B-15 Flip Top, this model is a tribute to those late 60s and early 70s clean, fat bass tones. It is the kind of tone you hear on most Motown recordings, as played by a pioneering young bassist, James Jamerson. Rock: This model is inspired by* a classic of the genre, the ’74 Ampeg® SVT®, which has appeared on innumerable recordings and arena stages worldwide. Now, all the tone of the head and 300-pound behemoth 8x10 cab is available without having to lookup a chiropractor. Brit: Based on a ’68 Marshall® Super Bass, this model delivers the kind of overdriven bass sounds brought to us by late ‘60s British rock pioneers like Cream and The Who. Grind: As the name would suggest, this is for modern rock lovers—Alice in Chains to Mudvayne and Rage Against The Machine. Based on* a distorted SansAmp PSA-1 into an SVT® with a direct clean bass signal mixed in, this model gives you that angry, clear and punchy aggression that cuts through the mix and takes your sound to DEFCON 1. Effects Models: Compressor: This pro LA-2A®-style compressor is ideal for every bass player and particularly useful for the ones who play with their fingers—achieve a smooth and consistent signal at any volume. Envelope filter: Based on* a Q-Tron, this is the baddest envelope filter on the planet. This effect can be heard on tons of major funk and rock tunes. Octaver: Based on* the EBS® OctaBass®, this effect produces a single note one octave below the note you’re playing to add a powerful new vibe to your sound. Chorus: Based on* the much loved T.C. Electronic® Chorus. This is the most transparent, smooth and expressive chorus ever built for bass—and using it won’t reduce your low end. It’s especially beautiful with fretless basses. Synth: Sitting at the back of the model knob is this secret weapon that turns LowDown into a ’70s classic bass synth. From funk to modern rock, this fully adjustable synth delivers incredible tones while tracking every dynamic move you make! Compatible Foot Controllers: FBV Express FBV Shortboard

  18. I did my daily trawl of Richtone only to find it had already sold before I had chance to go and try it. It’s been on my list of stuff to try for a while.
  19. Ah! That might explain it. It's a very good deal if you do a lot of printing, however joining Amazon Prime isn't cheap. £5 a roll is excellent value. Sorry about that.
  20. My mate plays sax and geetar in a Madness/Specials tribute. The fabulous Grayson White - named himself after a department store!
  21. No problem, this has an active BTS circuit and the battery is mounted under the control plate. It has bass & treble cut and boost on the preamp.
  22. Purchased from this forum 6 months ago for a specific project and is now surplus to requirements. it’s a great unit, loads of info online regarding these. No original box or carry bag (it came off a board) but does have its own generic power supply. Any questions, just ask. Cheers Steve
  23. You could possibly make use of your LDS cabs as they sit by adding a high pass filter into your amplifier. And / or, stuff one of the ports to raise the tuning.
  24. Is it your old pedal or one you were watching? So far with the ric at house volume it does definitely fatten up the sound and the Drive option does a bit of breakup when digging it. Look forward to trying it at rehearsal volume with both the P and the Ric
