Normally we work in batches of five over four weeks although interest is such that I will see if it's possible to stretch it to six per batch We are a small boutique workshop and composite necks are one of a few lines of work carried out mostly around neck maintenance and repair. From this Wednesday (October 1st) to next Wednesday (October 8th) there is a week long public holiday so you should probably allow for five weeks if the deposit is recieved today. Shipping costs are very competitive - I would need your address information to provide a firm quote but as a guide, its 277RMB to the US (prepaid duty) and 390 RMB to the UK. So, depending on the logistics chain, expect somewhere around 390RMB to Italy - hopefully it will be less given Italiy is part of a bigger continent. Postage can vary but allow up to 15 days door to door and I'll confirm prepaid duty is possible on the shipping closer to the time so no need for customers to faff about with customs Yes, and not only that but if the work isn't started within 30 days of recieving the deposit then I will offer the option of a peace of mind refund. I also like to post weekly updates on here of the work in progress just so people are kept up to speed and can see that their order is being taken forward. Without the trust of customers, this operation wouldn't be feasible so I strive to protect that.

The EVO IV ABMs are brighter than the III I have, and for kicks I put an 1958 RCA Gray Plate valve in and it did sweeten it up very nicely. The Ruby/JJ was noticeably brighter (harsh some might say, depending on the cab), and just had a little less 3D texture to it in some ways. The JJ is great in the III and suites it very well, but the RCA was a very nice addition. Was considering a reissue Mullard and ran across a great deal on the RCA which was NOS and tested almost like new.

Up is my TRB1006J. Recently bought a high end 6 and can't justify keeping it. It's been well looked after and had a full service and a brand new barrel jack in June. The previous owner had a ramp installed (very well I might add), there is also dunlop straplocks installed, other than that its all original. I can post but I would prefer not to, I travel quite a bit so Im always happy to try and make a meet up work. Mainly after cash, but try me for trades. Thanks

Well..."standard" is in the eye of the beholder...or something along those lines. In my house, 30.5" is "standard"...

I tend to avoid remixes like the plague as the remix of Trick of the Tail was so terrible, but as I wasn't that bothered or tied to that album, I should probably give it a listen. -
Thinking about it I dont think I have seen him play in any of his videos. But he does the talking, with his charming accent.

Presumably noone has reported them, or they are too small for fender to have noticed?
-
The ugliness of them! Its just the complete run out of ideas, we have to look a bit like a fender but can't look too much like a fender, we will just get a child to draw a headstock, two lines, thats fine. Thats why there are scroll bars on the side of the window, so you can scroll past!

Bass demo finally out, and a decent one to boot. It sounds pretty darned good to me and obvious use as both a pitch shifter and an octave pedal. Well done (again) Boss!

If your bass has a quick release bridge, it makes it a lot easier - if you have to straighten / rewind the tuning peg end it still works fine, but the strings don't last quite as long as the metal up that end gradually weakens a little. That being said, it's still well worth doing. Welcome to saving a whole load of cash and always having loads of fresh strings available 🙂

Honestly, the internet dogpile on G&L or Sire headstocks (or whoever has been deemed not to be flavour of the month this time) is really boring to me.

Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway reissue

I had the chance to listen to most of the first 'LP' (up to Chamber of 32 doors). Very clear sound vs original but the bass seemed pushed up very high in the mix and Phil Collins' drums too low (very obvious on title track). Need to give it another listen, along with the second 'LP'. -
Yeah, but they don't make tort like that anymore.
