  2. Could potentially be open to Canadian Dingwalls to trade. Afterburner 1 or 2 or Z most likely!
  3. These need no introduction but this metal grill super compact is now surplus to requirements after a Super Twin lead me into temptation. Cab is in great condition and has probably done less than 20 gigs for me.it comes with a padded cover made by Hotcovers Spec from Barefaced : Dimensions (H x W x D)56cm x 44cm x 30cm 22" x 17.5" x 12" Weight Steel Grill 11kg / 23.5lbs Broadband Sensitivity97dB Max Amp Power600W RMS Max Output~127dB Frequency Range30Hz -4kHz Impedance8 ohms i’d prefer collection but also happy to meet up within an hour or so drive. I’m over in the Manchester area regularly as well. and I do now have a suitable box if someone wants to arrange shipping Asking £475 - sorry but not looking for any trades right now.
  4. But, annoyingly for the rest of us, you seem to have sufficient other talents to more than compensate. Spare a thought for those of use without such balancing abilities in other areas🤪
  5. Robbed Blind - Keef
  6. You seem to be acing it so far.
  7. Hi, my Markbass CMD121P combo is noticeably quieter than it used to be with the same bass guitar. I’m having volume trouble even in small venues. There’s a company in Sheffield I could send it to but the minimum labour charge is £79 plus Vat. I’m wondering if it would be best to buy a spare amp head and have that installed. Any suggestions please?
  8. He was on Joe Rogan's show the other day and he said he just does it as a laugh. You'd think he had better things to do, like send rockets into space, or something.
  9. Mine is the PJ, not JJ. It sounds nothing like a Fender PJ. The jazz Bridge sounds nothing like a fender jazz bridge pickup and the P pickup sounds nothing like a Fender P pickup. The preamp seems to be really aggressive. They are kind of their own thing, Spectors just sound like Spectors.
  10. I have a lot of friends working there, and they know me well enough to know I won't buy one new - still I'm sure I can persuade them to get me one to try anyway.
  11. If you hold down the footswitch the lights start flashing, then you can scroll through the presets using the footswitch. I'm not keen on pressing the little button with my foot, seems like it's asking for trouble in the long run.
  12. I feel that may be all in good time...all in good time....!
  13. Ah good, Glad you sorted it in the end
  14. It's not really necessary to 'close' a post; it may well serve someone in the future with a similar issue. You could Edit the first post, and put the mention 'Resolved' in the title..? The title can only be edited from the very first post, but that option is open to you. The topic itself will remain open, but those that have contributed will be able to see that a solution was found. Does this help..?
  15. Yup. I tend to agree. The amp and 2x10" I quite like and I could make an offer. But at the moment my other half is suggesting I get an Elf combo right now, and come back to invest in vintage TE kit next year once we've moved. Which makes sense as I can gig the Elf as well.

  18. Of course I have preferred settings on my bass for certain songs so it stays flat until I change to that setting. The problem is now resolved...its the battery clip not connecting tight enough on one of the terminals
  19. The problem is resolved so how do I pet people know or.close the post
  20. Just one question... Why would you have the EQ on the bass set flat? Surely you have a preferred setting/settings on the bass that you always use? 🤔 To be fair, I always had similar issues with EB instruments. Even my Classic Sabre & Big Al 5 had that issue. It just never cut through properly. The only MM product I've not had that issue with is my current 95 Stingray with the Aguilar Pickup and Preamp.
  21. So many of the stores have gone. And I bet still more will fall. Soon everything will be on-line only. No more will be able to look, touch, hold and play before buying. Perish the thought !😥
  22. For context I bought an identical 2x10 cab for £40 last year, and the 1x15 for £50. Granted I haven't got that head, but given it probably will need some TLC I would offer £200 max for that - if you got it for £150 it would be a bargain.
  23. I'm quite lucky at the moment. Now that i'm only in the Glam band we don't seem to get "bad" gigs. They always seem to end up good fun nights by the time we finish. What we do get is the occasional unorganised venue or it takes a while to get the audience motivated and that's usually birthday parties because not everyone is there to see the band or is even likes 70's Glam rock but we usually get them in the end. 😂 Dave
  24. Ive now checked the battery clip and think I found the problem so.my tech is going to put in a new one. Thanks for your help
  25. Good choice. The mint version is also the only U5 with a matching headstock colour.
  26. Those are way overpriced - I wouldn't pay anymore than £50 to £100 for a TE cab and about £150 max for a head. The GP12SMX are generally the most expensive and although people try to sell them for £250 and up, I've seen them go (in the last few months) for £120.
