Hi. I copied the link from your soundcloud track, but when I tried to embed it here, I got a message - The link could not be embedded because soundcloud.com does not allow embedding of that video. To check the tracks sharing settings, edit the track on soundcloud. Track Settings opens on the Basic Info tab. In there set privacy to Public. On the permissions tab, select them all (except Download if you don't want that option). Then copy the new link to the track and paste it here. Then see what happens? I enjoyed your track. It's a good rendition of Sledge Hammer, vocals like PG's, good players. But: to my mind doesn't add anything to the original. If it was a pub covers band it would be awesome, but for someone famous I would have expected them to make it a bit more their own.

Thinking about conventional small PA speakers - in small pubs I've happily used a single Yamaha DXR8 to carry vocals/acoustic instruments. It's good to have two for those instances where the room is wide, but one is enough for a lot of small UK venues if you position and angle it right. Sometimes, by the time you've put two speakers up you've obscured more than half the performance area from view!

Not sure what generation that is exactly, since round here I probably see as many if not more Gen Xers having those choices as Millennials/Zs! But IMO he's a really interesting choice - someone who merges music with hacking culture and has a popular 'new media' presence. Offers interesting possibilities for documenting development of a song/performance over social media which would be a very novel way of engaging people in the build-up, especially if followers can interact with the process. He's someone who I think retains something of the earlier DIY, anarchic spirit of pre-google YouTube in a positive way.

I'm with you on this. The gloss poly finish (in my opinion) on the back of necks is horrid.

That would be me. I've walked away from buying basses due to them having piezo pickups. It really is horses for courses 🙂

The only thing I don't really dig is the awful horns midi sound. Other than that: I am a huge Harry Styles fan. His last album was on heavy rotation when it came out. Can't wait for the new one.

I'm learning our set - not on bass as a) I wrote most of 'em and b) I know them backwards - but on guitar; I'm not doing them like our previous guitarists, but writing new parts which may or may not fit better...
