Not at the moment. Ive recently joined a alt rock band in Langport. We're writing and recording at the moment. Gigs later in the year hopefully. I was in a doom metal band in Devon before. My oldest daughter plays bass for Butane Skies, they're playing in Frome (and everywhere else) pretty regularly.

Fender Rumble Bass Combos - Advice Please
Minininjarob replied to Cornwall Steve's topic in Amps and Cabs
I was going to buy a new rumble when I started 3 years ago as I think they are the best sounding combo by a long way BUT I ended up getting a GK combo really cheap. Theres not many around and people don’t go for them as they are a bit unknown but my 112 200w combo kicks ass and is plenty loud enough - I go it for £150. Look out for the old 400rb combos too - very reliable and sound amazing but heavy - if you are keeping it at home that won’t matter. I think you’d be really happy with a relatively recent Rumble though. -

I get what you are saying, and funnily enough i also found the SWR to be favourable over the SVT that i wanted to use. Also the Markbass. Both seemed to have more life to them. I was aiming for a SVT rig sound though. I tried a few presets at first but wanted to create my own. Dont get me wrong, i really like most of what im hearing, its just to my ears using headphones there is something in the sound, every sound, that is putting me off. I noticed a lot of the presets have multiple EQ blocks, i thought that strange. I wont give up on it until ive used it with the band. I feel that’s where it will work better.

Used the mMultistomp as an emergency last night when asked to do some guitar depping, which is a (thankfully) very rare event. Spring Reverb and the Z Tron both did a decent job on guitar! What a useful little box to have. Project 07_09_2025 (2).mp4

Basses you hardly ever see for sale

No Prowla, sadly, yours looks like an early model Mexican Standard. (MX Serial Number on the front of the neck), so the BadAss II is probably an addition by a previous owner. Nicely cracked and aging, though. I wonder how it lost its paint finish on top of the neck block? 🤔 Highway One's had the "Made in USA" on the front of the headstock. -
Looks like a limited run 😕

God no, it's making travelling as easy as possible, the bus is cramped and I wouldn't dare bring my normal gig bag / j bass with me on it
-
Hmmm - I've got a Fender MIM Precision; it's badly beaten up and the finish is cracked and even chunks split off. I took a risk buying it, as the damage might've been structural, but it's been fine. The thing is it's got a Badass bridge; I assumed it was an upgrade but you've got me wondering now if it was an original fit. (I did the Straplock buttons.)

What are your irrational prejudices? I have some bonkers ones...
SteveXFR replied to kwmlondon's topic in General Discussion
Electric mountain bikes are fine, as long as they're proper pedal assist ones. ive got one and you still put a lot of effort in but go further and faster. Unfortunately they also attract people to the sport who haven't bothered to learn any technical skills. -
Ah, sorry: mis-read... You want to play it on the bus/train/tram. That could be annoying for the other passengers.

I have an Ashbory (Fender) and I find it a completely different instrument to a bass, so I'm not sure how practicing on it would be particularly beneficial. I'd suggest a Steinberger Spirit or Hohner full-scale headless bass. (My Rickenberger.)
