    I've read a review of the cab and it says it isn't as heavy as Ampeg quote. The review says it weighs 60.8 pounds 27.6Kg Ampeg say 66 pounds 30Kg Can anyone confirm this please?

    I do wonder whether the request by the sound guy that kicked off this side-track may have been more a practical one in the sense that perhaps there wasn't room on the stage for three bass players to bring their amps, so it was just a plea to bring your own preamp/DI or he was offering to provide a Sansamp (which is a damn site better than some of teh £20 Behringer DIs that I often get offered)!

    Ashdown "Classic Tube Magnifier" CTM-100 with Roqsolid cover. Built in 2013 (I believe), I bought this from BC's very own MertonR around 2014/15 and it became my main gigging amp for a few years. But I recently realised it hasn't seen any serious use since 2019, so it's probably time for me to part with it. Fortunately it's still in excellent condition, and sounds glorious.

    Exactly, and unless tehre are regulations to establish a (dare I say it?) reasonable level of insulation, they'll continue doing so.

    Yeah as I said previously, a poorly mixed FoH is a completely separate problem. In addition to that having amps on stage might contribute to other issues like bleeding into mics etc, especially on smaller stages. That used to be an issue for me until I started using tilt back bass cabs, then a wedge monitor and finally IEMs.

    Used itrack dock with power supply unit. Lightning connector. Great devices these, easy to use and usual focusrite quality preamp. The rubber surround of these units get sticky over time, I’ve had 3 and they’ve all done this.     The problem/common factor is the SE didn't do (or get to do) his job properly. In the case of the Stranglers, everything else was good, but the bass had been reduced to the new Subsonic Mud Rumble which seems, along with the Deafening Cannon Kick, to be the latest in sound trends for SEs mixing rock bands.

    Oh, the sound for the tour on IEMs sucked? Oh, the sound for the loud stage volume band sucked? Goes to show that the methodology isn't the problem.

    Look behind many tragedies and even major disasters and there’s an alarm that has been routinely ignored or switched off. Building fires are funny things, you often don’t see them until it’s too late, as a close neighbour found out two years ago. CCTV is not a fire alarm, that’s why we have fire alarms

    Did you pay by credit card for the (dis)pleasure? I'd have requested a charge back for failing to deliver the service you were paying for, language or otherwise.

    In retrospect, we absolutely should have called 999. Had we seen smoke or flames at the time, we certainly would have.

    I live in a road where you can hear the trains ( I chose to move here and never once considered complaining about the noise ) The trains were here first and the development built later Thankfully good insulation and windows and noise isn’t too bad and you get use to the background noise I’m sure someone has complained as is always the case ! Our local pub no longer has bands only duos etc based on one complaint from a new arrival who didn’t like noise at 10:30pm or earlier ! Pub trade fell off and I’m sure it will close thanks to one person whereas hundreds will miss out on yet another facility!
