  2. Just one question... Why would you have the EQ on the bass set flat? Surely you have a preferred setting/settings on the bass that you always use? 🤔 To be fair, I always had similar issues with EB instruments. Even my Classic Sabre & Big Al 5 had that issue. It just never cut through properly. The only MM product I've not had that issue with is my current 95 Stingray with the Aguilar Pickup and Preamp.
  3. So many of the stores have gone. And I bet still more will fall. Soon everything will be on-line only. No more will be able to look, touch, hold and play before buying. Perish the thought !😥
  4. For context I bought an identical 2x10 cab for £40 last year, and the 1x15 for £50. Granted I haven't got that head, but given it probably will need some TLC I would offer £200 max for that - if you got it for £150 it would be a bargain.
  5. I'm quite lucky at the moment. Now that i'm only in the Glam band we don't seem to get "bad" gigs. They always seem to end up good fun nights by the time we finish. What we do get is the occasional unorganised venue or it takes a while to get the audience motivated and that's usually birthday parties because not everyone is there to see the band or is even likes 70's Glam rock but we usually get them in the end. 😂 Dave
  6. Ive now checked the battery clip and think I found the problem so.my tech is going to put in a new one. Thanks for your help
  7. Good choice. The mint version is also the only U5 with a matching headstock colour.
  8. Those are way overpriced - I wouldn't pay anymore than £50 to £100 for a TE cab and about £150 max for a head. The GP12SMX are generally the most expensive and although people try to sell them for £250 and up, I've seen them go (in the last few months) for £120.
  9. My last chance to contact you about buying this amp
  10. Joker and the Thief - Wolfmother
  11. Six choruses of Reginald Veal playing 'I Feel Like Walking The Blues (in F)' from a Discover Double Bass video on YouTube. It just sounded interesting so I wrote it out. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/i-feel-like-walking-the-blues-in-f-reginald-veal/
  12. Thanks all, think Im going for.the mint U5
  13. Joker and the Queen - Ed Sheeran
  14. Ace of Spades - Motorhead
  15. Dig Me - King Crimson
  16. If the OP can make it to BD they have one in https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/product/sire-version-2-marcus-miller-u5-short-scale-bass-guitar-natural-2022-pre-owned/
  17. Apparently, the Modulus made early necks were a myth (rrp of a modulus neck was almost as much as the rrp of the G Bass), and they are not actually carbon necks as marketed, they have a maple core with a carbon wrap. Still cracking basses for the money of course, but really interesting marketing choice from Peavey; the manual literally says it's a Carbon Graphite neck with no mention of it being mostly wood. Crazy but there you go. Still want it!
  18. Time has come to let go of this great bass rig. Had this for gigs but only got through one before the band had issues again. If I play again will be going to a power amp/modelling pedal and In ear setup as most of the places I can practice are quiet or have cabs available. Head sold ..... 19. 71, the good gigs always give me a burst of enthusiasm, excitement, youthfulness and energy. The bad gigs make me wonder why I'm still gigging. Daryl

  22. I've got a Double Trolley by Marc Grue. I got it broken and have mended it to be in usuable condition. I found this unusable, where the wheels were bent, and the wheel frame did no fit the stool, and the latch under the seat snapped and a few other problems. I've put a new latch on and rebent the frame, cleaned it up and tighten some loose parts so that it is in good working condition. I've have tried and tested a couple of times going to and from, and at rehearsals. This is a trolley which helps move your bass around and conveniently doubles up as a stool. Tyres hold pressure, and will require a bungee to fasten to your bass. Find out more about it here: https://doubletrolley.com/index.php Due to the size of the item, I would prefer collection in person. I can provide more pictures on request. Open to offers. Thank you
