  4. Eclair - Gilbert O'Sullivan
  5. I tried that, but got flooded with quotes for outdoor lampposts ...
  6. Very sad to be doing this, but up for TRADE ONLY (for now) is my lovely Yamaha TRB-IIF 5-string factory fretless bass in trans blue. It's a 35" scale factory fretless version of the well-regarded TRB-II basses. Made in Japan between 1998 and 2004, these were top of the line instruments, featuring Yamaha Alnico single-coil hum cancelling pickups and Yamaha's TRB 'Q-mix' 3-band preamp. This is an absolutely lovely example; there's some very small dings on the top but otherwise it's amazing for a 25+ year bass. The serial no suggests it was made in 2000 (if I've read this guide correctly). It has 18mm string spacing, and is currently fitted with DR Legend flatwounds. I think I have some Rotosound tapewounds if you would prefer. A lovely low action and amazing fretless tone. Got Basschat strap holders on ATM - I'll remove those and the strap unless you desperately want them. I picked this up a couple of years ago in a trade with TheGreek of this parish for my fretted TRB1005J, but the sad fact is I don't play enough fretless to justify keeping it, and I have some gigs coming up where a fretted 5 would be more useful (I have a Lakland 5 but it's strung E-C for one particular gig - I now need something strung B-G for other stuff). So I'm looking for a 5-string, ideally an active Jazz or equivalent with at least 18mm string spacing. Active isn't a deal-breaker, though, so happy to consider anything that's got 5 strings and 18mm spacing. Trading for a fretted Japanese TRB/TRB-II would be ideal; I might consider a TRB1005J plus cash if it's in natural. In a perfect world, I'd be happy to trade (plus adjustments as necessary) if someone had a TRB6 they were looking to shift on. I'm not really looking for 4 strings, however nice they are (even if TRBs), sorry. Not really looking to trade for anything else either ATM, though if you are desperate to buy this for cold hard cash, message me. I'm based in the SW so this is probably best for SW-based people as I'd prefer to meet up, but again if you're desperate and have something that fits the bill, but you're elsewhere, message me. Thanks for reading!
  7. Well, I do as if I find a term that I don't understand I use the internet to find out what it means.
  8. That's £359 though! Could almost buy a real.... never mind!
  9. A lie will get halfway round the world before the truth has its boots on. It's a shame that the flat eather, anti-vaxers, and other various conspiracy theorists don't get as much stick. But there's not a lot of money in that compared to what the grifters can make selling dodgy apps and snake oil.
  10. Trifle tower blues - Dino Rossi
  11. I’ve owned a couple of these and they are bloody decent basses, top quality all rounder. I’d have it if I wasn’t in the process of selling a bass. Good luck
  12. Yep! Crazy lightweight for an Ash bodied Jazz.
  13. So the neck pocket has gone from this: To this The shorter end to the left cheek of the neck socket is to allow for a piece of ply to be let in to repair the top. Looks a bit neater now
  14. Muffin Compares 2 U - Sinead O'Connor
  15. Lots of Dumble UAD Enigmatic pedal
  16. Cake on Me - A-Ha!
  17. Just to be clear the price I am asking is £3000. That being said I am sure anyone who might have an interest in a Bass of this quality and condition would drop me a message to negotiate.
  18. Bread's Too Big Without You - The Police
  19. Let Me Roll It - Wings
  20. Ah thanks. That makes sense. I've never had an expensive enough bass to need one. 😆
  21. This is an analog unit whose primary function is to simulate a speaker cabinet when going direct to desk. This is particularly useful if using overdrive/distortion. It also functions as a headphone amp with an additional AUX input that allows you to play along to other sources, and it is also a DI box with a balanced XLR output in addition to the standard 6.3mm output and a 'through' output that bypasses the simulation. I can insert YouTube videos, but not dropbox links to my own pictures... what kind of sorcery gone wrong is this???
  22. So tempted by this, just need to find £600 from somewhere. lol
