  1. Past hour
  2. Another bucket list transcription but it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be (to transcribe, not to play). The complete Steve Rodby performance on the tune 'And Then I Knew' from the 1995 Pat Metheny Group album, 'We Live Here'. Some great groove playing in the closing quarter of the tune. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/and-then-i-knew-pat-metheny-group/
  3. Off go Warped Vinyl and Jive to make way for Super Vintage with relocation of compressor (away from power ISO 5 as I was getting slight noise) whilst 3@1 is now landscape so I can switch using my feet....no more bending down. Black Panel now going through SV cab sim...I likey.
  4. Some nice wee bass bits in there. Liked that. Bass sounds nice. Dave
  5. Agreed, and you own the Boss 👍
  6. Well you know me, it’s tubes or nothing for an amp! Bet that sounds mighty dude
  7. I guess people either love, or don't love, big tube amps mate! I'm playing this through two Mesa cabs now.... ...and man it rocks 👍
  8. Glad it's all working out, Mick. Seems that promoter you mentioned was holding onto the wrong opinions
  9. Today
  10. Another Everly's and Friends Live Tribute Show yesterday. This time in Torquay, Devon. On the first weekend after the schools closed for the Summer holidays. You know what's coming... Yep, it took me ten hours to get there from Derbyshire. Every motorway, every junction, every roundabout was a massive traffic queue. Grrr! So finally got to the Babbacombe Theatre, did the gig and then cruised home in 3.5 hours. Better. Friday was a looong day. Wiped out today (Saturday.) Broken. Oh, and I almost forgot, our Duo was out last weekend for the second time. Played outside and the PA sounded awesome. Used my Melvin Lee Davis NU-X Preamp Pedal for the first time, too. 11. Overhang! aaaarrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! (Nice one)
  12. Well done for persevering! I think I would have lost my head in a blind rage over a no show! I get mardy enough with other members turning up late without a good excuse/doctors note/hand written letter from mum saying they've got the shits
  13. At a glance, maybe neck, tuners, front pickup, bell plate, bridge and guard look ok. In my opinion, if the body was right, it’s still worth £3-4k but without any confidence re the body, it would feel like a leap of faith to pay much over £2k including fees. Its a shame you have to buy it first, to be able to strip the body and check the various tells that would demonstrate it was original, under the “refinished before these basses were worth faking” paint. The router hump appears to be there, so if it plays ok, it might be worth a punt, but without two original pickups, I would walk away.
  14. 2 pints before the gig, you'll be fine
  15. pritty good, loads of info on youtube brand new still in the box, never used. £60 on amazon post is £5 firstclass royal mail only.

  16. …The Ibanez GSR 180 is a great and lightweight guitar, I just had a little noodle on it and its lovely to play…. no, may still need the tar and feathers, plus a stout tree GLWTS 👍
  17. The MXR MC403 CAE Power System, developed in collaboration with Bob Bradshaw, is engineered to deliver clean, silent, and reliable power to nearly every effect pedal on the market. Designed by some of the top engineers in musical electronics, this power supply is built to handle the toughest pedalboard setups with ease. With eight 9-volt DC outlets, four 18-volt DC outlets, two adjustable DC voltage outlets, and two 9-volt AC outlets, the MC403 provides more than enough power for even the most demanding rigs. Whether you're gigging or recording, this power system ensures your pedals perform at their best, without the worry of noise or power issues. MXR MC403 CAE Power System Features: Pedalboard power supply built for the rigors of the gigging musician 8 x 9-volt DC power outlets for standard pedal designs 4 x 18-volt DC power outlets for higher-demand pedals 2 adjustable DC voltage outlets for fine-tuning performance 2 x 9-volt AC power outlets for added versatility All multi-tap DC outputs are completely isolated, linear regulated, and short-circuit protected to insure reliable operation Enclosed in a heavy-duty housing. Rarely used but I did house it under a pedalboard and I've misplaced the screws that weren't required (doesn't affect anything). What you see in the pics is what you get in full working order (+ mains cable).
  18. You called the Ibanez a guitar above … Ibanez are perfectly respectable! Why are you insulting them in this way ? 😳
  19. Over the last few gigs I felt like I was bringing too much stuff and causing myself tap dancing problems, unwanted activation and cancellation of effects due to big feet Vs cramped board. Decided to downsize and condense from a very crowded temple audio duo 17 to a much more considered rock board 2.1!
  20. Brand new unopened. Bought when I was going to experiment with different strings but settled on other brand. Paid £27.99
  21. Similar to this. If you can write the parts out like a left and right hand piano line you will see visually where they meet rhythmically. Then you start to think of it as one part rather than two in parallel.
  22. Brand new unopened. Bought when I was going to experiment with different strings but settled on another brand. Paid £34.99
