    Did anyone ever manage to nail down the fixed ratio of the Single Slice (and therefore this?), the only vague reference I can find is a single suggestion on TB from Nathan that it’s 4:1, but that’s not confirmed as far as I can see. Love the green on this, nice little combo of effects too! Love Nathan’s stuff! Si

    I’ve put a very cheap set of flats on my Jazz last night in one last attempt to like flats. For me, they play/feel great, I just can’t seem to enjoy the sound. I very much like the sound of old Rounds, but not the brightness of new rounds, but dislike the feel of old rounds under finger. So, I’m trying these cheaper flats as they seem to have decent reviews and if no joy I’ll be trying the IMA super polished or some half rounds. For my ‘working’ bass (which is short scale) I just use EB rounds and change them every 6 weeks or so. I’ve never enjoyed the sound of flats on a shortie in the past. Look forward to hearing how you get on live with the rounds!

    Up for sale is my Mexican made Fender Vintera 70s Jazz Bass in 3 colour sunbust that I bought as B stock from Mann's Music in March. The bass (serial number: MX22287391) is in great condition with the exception of a small area of lacquer loss near the strap button (pictured). Looks and sounds great, the pickups have that great bright, slightly compressed 70s Jazz bass sound. The bass comes with a gig bag that Fender describe as 'deluxe', it's really not. Cash on collection would be much preferred as the gig bag included with this bass is distinctly lacking in padding protection and I wouldn't be able to insure this with a courier as there is no hard case. A half way meet up is a very real possibility if you’re in the South East. I’m not interested in trades unless you have a Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass (the original black version without a pickguard).     Thomann branded hardcase to fit a Hofner Violin Bass. A few marks as expected for a hardcase, but generally great working condition. Happy to post for £10

    It is - the Schaller allows fine intonation adjustments of the gut strings he will use grolsch washers on the strap buttons as it the traditional way, around these parts
