  1. Past hour
  2. Hi, is this still available?
  3. Shoulder issues back with a vengeance 😔... Back up for sale. ONLY bass for a part trad would be a JMJ. Will take loads of photos this weekend and add the new hand-written note etc
  4. Well that was quick... I can't do it. 🤦🏼‍♂️ It must stay.
  5. Yes, admittedly it is quite Danny Elfman inspired.
  6. Great sounding small footprint multi fx pedal. Too much fx to list but if you start at everything you'll not be far away! A big upgrade from the original ms60b the sounds are much more faithful. Lots of routing options too if you want to send separate links to pa, foh or your own amp. It been used sparingly so in great condition. £75 pick up Leyland Lancashire or can post for £7.
  7. I reckon Tim Burton might make his dinner in his Ninja listening to that track 👻 Yep, photo posed quite the challenge for me too (not a bad thing), so just knocked out a quick entry as my ‘jingle’ was doing my head pretty quickly 😂
  8. Amaze your friends and embarrass your guitarists by bringing more pedals than them to practice! All you'll need to experiment with confusingly long signal chains, in one convenient package! Almost unused (never gigged) Pedaltrain Classic JR with Truetone 1Spot Pro CS12 power supply mounted and ready to go. Comes in its soft case with kettle lead and pedal power leads (not patch leads). Rough side velcro applied. £200 Inc UK postage "Like a multi-effects pedal, but less convenient!" - me, after spending £300 on a pedalboard and power supply
  9. I saw them at that Sheffield gig; I remember they carpeted the stage. I also saw them at Stafford New Bingley, on the Permanent Waves tour; from that one I remember Geddy starting singing and doing a big cough so they had to restart the song! I saw them there on The Moving Pictures tour. Curious - I think a couple of their best "songs" are on Presto: "Red Tide" and "Available Light". However, the album recording is abysmal!
  10. Did I meet you in Bass Direct a couple of Saturdays back? In there with your lady? I was demoing a used Warwick Corvette 5 upstairs (now sold but not to me).
  11. Moving Pictures and Power Windows are two of my favourites; also Clockwork Angels and Grace Under Pressure. Feedback is the one I just plain don't "get".
  12. Port shape (duct actually, the name 'port' is incorrectly applied to ducts, but it's part of the lexicon now) doesn't matter, though narrow slots should be avoided. The area of those ports looks to be far too small.
  13. Crys in cost of living
  14. Thanks mate. Just to stop people misusing it for nefarious reasons. Probably not really necessary on an old Musicmaster.
  15. I have autism and prefer e-mail or text messaging to phone calls. I've been using Bass Direct since before Mark had a shop, and I've always received exemplary service from them. I've been using Bass Bros for the last two years. Again, I've had nothing but exemplary service from them as well. I think people should remember that both are small shops, staffed by knowledgeable, but small workforces. They don't have 24 hour call centres or customer service centres. They probably receive dozens of emails and telephone enquiries each day. As such, it's easy for them to miss one or think they've replied to an email when they haven't. It's also a simple matter to follow your enquiry up with another email or a call if you don't get a reply. We should be supporting these fantastic businesses, rather than criticising them over silly things.
  16. I did actually (and I occasionally do so) but I seem to recall members being encouraged to host their images elsewhere. I understood there was a fairly low limit on how much each member could upload - every so often a member would complain of being unable to upload, and it was usually because they’d reached their personal limit. Also I want some of the photos to be visible on other sites e.g. in for-sale threads. I could just directly upload here and then link from other sites, but it didn’t seem quite right to me. Maybe I’ve massively overthought it and I should just crack on!
  17. … just bought the Broughton LP + HP from Hammer_, all good so deal with confidence folks. GLWTS
  18. This box has a set of three Speakon connectors wired in parallel (using pins 1 & 2) so can be used as an extender for speaker cables, or to allow two cabs to be driven from the same amp One connector at one end and two at the other end The box is made from very solid extruded aluminium

  20. I've become a big fan of Sean Hurley over the last year or so. I like his approach, his technique, and his tone. I've even got a big old piece of foam under the strings of my P bass at the moment, which was remarked on by the drummer at rehearsal last night. He didn't seem to think I had any issue before using it, but to me it makes getting "that tone" quite a bit easier. Rob
  21. Making use of Mark's Wing at St Joes although thankfully the college now has it's own Wing and two SD16 stage boxes. There's almost as many photos of M32 consoles as there are 02Rs on this thread. 🥰 This particular example has been my trusty steed at Bloodstock Festival for the last 5 years, now - still reliable, still up to the job and still great to mix on. Yes, they're showing their age a little, now but I'm more than happy to mix with them. It's looking likely that a different company will be providing the audio on both Sophie and my stage so next year so A&H and Yamaha are a possibility. Thankfully the new company have retained the staff so we've all kept our places for next year - it's just different gear, seemingly. The mighty Midas HD96 pictured here at the 2025 Notting Hill Carnival. This was one of two examples at the Hornimans Garden site - I used both but not at the same time. The above pic was my mix / recording console used for the 'Panorama' Steel Bands night whilst the other was somewhat under-utilized as FOH console. They're an intuitive machine taking the best of the Wing and the best of the Pro series into one console - I'm more than happy to have one of these.. ❤️ Various stages and consoles pictured throughout the UK on the recent TOH 45th anniversary tour. Allen & Heath and Digico have been common place on this run with a single Soundcraft VI and a solitary Pro2 - not a single Yamaha in sight! 😬
  22. Ashdown mi bass 2.0. Great little 400w class D amp. I bought this (previously owned) to have as a backup amp for gigs as it’s small enough to fit in a back pack. will come in a repurposed drill hard case which serves its purpose. has some scuff, but works as it should. £80 collected from Warrington, I’d need to check postage if required but would imagine somewhere in the £10-15 range.
