  1. Past hour
  2. My L series is in the same place as above.
  3. Ill try a squirt of deoxit as suggested
  4. Yes I'll try that. I have a can in the music room
  5. Not clear enough picture to tell
  6. Yep agreed I just tried it thru my mark bass cl115 Sounds epic with my HW4003
  7. No document on signal chain but the way it reponds to tone knobs indicates (to me) that the toneprint is before eq.
  8. A 64 neckplate should look like this , currently for sale on ATB
  9. Apologies, I'm not able to at the moment.
  10. Also the pots look quite new…
  11. Can you show your neck plate please for comparison- maybe block out some digits
  12. I’ve read what people here have written who know far more than me and I agree. Only if it’s cheap … would be my view, and the neck and frets look like trouble brewing
  13. It would be a good idea to go and have a look at it before bidding if possible to see what it’s really like up close
  14. Headstock from my L serial number 1964 J. Looks like decal is under the varnish to me. Although looking closer at the photo (bass is a bit harder to look at ATM) there is a chip off the decal, so maybe it's on top of varnish?
  15. Yeah, the whole bottom region seems to call up the window.
  16. Today
  17. That twisted neck puts me off. Would need serious luthier attention. AFAIK decal on varnish is right for early 60s. Don't know about 64.
  18. It's a problem because although the "choose files…" is underlined to indicate it is a link, clicking anywhere on the whole line from the D of "Drag files" up to the left edge of the Other Media button will bring up the dialog box even though the cursor only turns into the pointy hand on the underlined text. Either make just the underlined text the link or make the cursor change to the pointy hand everywhere that will bring up the dialog box.
  19. Markbass Travellor 1 x 15, 400 watt, 8ohm cab. In great condition. Hardly gigged. £250.00 Collection only or can meet within reasonable distance.
  20. The neck is narrowish near the headstock. Bit jazz bass style. Yes, great tonal options and punchy.
  21. Back up for sale. I’m selling my beautiful 2004 German-made Warwick Streamer LX Jazzman in Petrol Green – a seriously versatile and pro-level bass that’s built like a tank and sounds amazing. Lovingly looked after and in fantastic condition, gold hardware upgraded to black official Warwick hardware, new black Dunlop strap locks, and a new Just-A-Nut III brass nut, professionally fitted. Set up beautifully with a low action and new LaBella 40-100 stainless steel strings. Specs: • Swamp ash body with flame maple top • Bolt-on ovangkol neck with wenge fingerboard • 24 frets / 34” scale length • Just-A-Nut III brass nut (38.5mm width) • Warwick 2-piece brass bridge • MEC pickups: passive Jazz (neck) + MM-style humbucker (bridge) • 3-way mini toggle (series / parallel / single coil) • Active 3-band EQ (volume push-pull for passive bypass) • Weighs around 4kg – solid but very comfortable Condition: Very good overall. Some signs of use as expected for a bass of this age, but everything works perfectly. Frets are in great shape, neck is straight, and the electronics are super flexible. Uber versatile. This thing can do vintage warmth or modern bite with ease. Would prefer collection, but I have a proper box to post at buyers expense. Please make sure it is insured prior to sending. Also happy to meet within a 30 mile radius of Cardiff/Cowbridge/Bridgend. Any further questions, please feel free to ask. Cash on collection or bank transfer only please. Cheers ☺️☀️ PS Not looking for any trades. Thank you.

  22. These cabs do everything Phil put at the top of the ad. They are very good indeed
  23. Vanderkley 112EXT for Sale. 300 watts 1 x 12" speaker 8 ohms with Roqsolid cover. Great punchy sound and in very good condition. Collection only from Guildford area.
  24. Oh my, I think the bass gods are really toying with me; I was looking out for a Tune 5-string a while back (I have the TWB-6 and a couple of the later Korean models). Sadly, funds won't currently allow me to go for it but I can certainly vouch for the quality of these basses. Absolutely! GLWTS. 👍😎👍
  25. Being passive isn't the only factor - my Laklands are just more up my street, as I mentioned. It's still a lovely bass, but perhaps stands a better chance of being moved on unadulterated! 😉
  26. Bought yet another book from Mick. Great Comms, easy and efficient transaction - what a gent! Recommended 👍
