colgraff Posted March 25, 2015 Share Posted March 25, 2015 I bought this Prima Artist 5 from Mark at Bass Direct on Monday. It is unbelievably gorgeous to hold and play. I haven't gigged my newest one yet for the same reason. Our gigs are mostly in pubs, although we do have a gig in May on a proper stage, so will probably give it an outing for that one. colgraff Posted March 27, 2015 Share Posted March 27, 2015 Thanks guys. I took it out to play 'in anger' for the first time tonight and the sound was absolutely amazing. The only downside was that my Boss effect pedals all sound flabby and horrible now, so I need to upgrade them to higher quality ones. He has had an after-market preamp put in which make it a bit more sonically versatile. As I split my time between children and partner it made sense for me to have a Dingwall in each house so that I have one wherever I gig. That's what I tell myself, anyway.
