I found some video from last Saturday.  Not our best. I post the good and the bad.

Guitars seem out of tune, it was 100°, sound mix was not great and I played with a healing broken ankle. I'll stop because I can go on forever with making excuses.

I can't hear any bass without earbuds.

All sounds good on my PC speakers. 👍

Blu…nice job…love how calm you right hand is. Wish I could look that cool when performing! Don’t personally use a pick, but really like your sound!

It seems like in some circles playing with a pick is frowned upon.

As a teen I was " all in " with finger playing. I switched to playing with a pick about 25 years ago. For no reason other than the type of grooves and riffs I play are easier to execute with a pick.

My open mic was cancelled as the pub changed hands :(

the hostess didn’t post that it was on, but often doesn’t as she has a fairly loyal following, so I went anyway

two very drunk regulars told me I was “out of luck for playing my guitar”. 🤮

When I’d finished beating them both around the head with a sire v7….

Can't say I'm looking forward to tonight - had a stinking cold for the past couple of days and while it is abating, I'm still only operating on about 75% strength.  Wireless shenanigans may be curtailed - hopefully won't need a chair.

I hope you survive the gig. Get well

Last weekend when we played in 100° heat I sat down during 2 songs. It didn't seem like a big deal at the time, but when I saw some video it was not a good look for the band.

I originally learnt to play fingerstyle, but a band leader persuaded me to play with a pick (very much a thing at the time), which I did throughout the 80s!

About 1990, I reverted back to exclusively playing fingerstyle, which I've carried on with to this day. To be fair, I was always a far better fingers player and these days I very much doubt I could play anything like a full set with a pick!

Picks are for guitarists- you’ll go blind

Did Jameson or Jaco need a pick?

Thanks Pete,

You noticed the backlined Rumble 500. I've always been critical of Fender Bass amps. However, I was impressed with the Rumble 500. It had a very nice punch.

Great video. I streamed it to the tv + surround and it sounded really good. You're so cool you're glacial 😁

The show must go on! Whatever it takes. You got the job done.

Oh to be 20 and fighting fit again 😂

Ok, I thought with the combination of playing a Telecaster body style bass and usind a pick I could trick people into thinking I was some sort of groovy guitarist. Lol
