As it's for work not play, I've ordered ten feet of cable guard, but I can bring it along. If anyone wants to buy some, this seems to be a good deal 10 feet (3m) for £16.99. Beware lots of what look like good solutions are self-adhesive for semi-permanent uses, and I'm fairly sure folk will want versions with a grip underneath for temporary use. I may get commission if you use this link, but it won't cost you extra: https://amzn.to/426GFTI I've gone ahead and bought 4 strips of the cable guard recommended by Stub Mandrel for the Bash to complement the rubber guard I normally bring. Apart from the aspect of keeping tape off the floor, the hall Trustees have been having a blitz on risk management and I'm having to do this as I've assessed tripping over cables as one of the main risks of the event. As everyone realises, the Bash has always been priced to break even. I'm therefore asking/inviting/imploring/begging (delete as appropriate 🙂 ) everyone to pay an extra £2 on the door to help cover the £68 unexpected additional cost. At £15 a head, the Bash is still a bargain. (If anyone isn't prepared to contribute, that will be OK too.) No need for discussion on here about the above btw. Whatever happens on the door will be fine by me. 1 Quote
Richard R Posted yesterday at 13:11 Posted yesterday at 13:11 (edited) My lad's not coming now, so if you take a sharpie and write on the bottom of one of the strips "Sponsored by David R, who would rather stay in bed", you can keep the door fee I paid for him 😉 Edited yesterday at 13:13 by Richard R Don't worry, we'll make sure you're not out of pocket. 4 Quote

If it hasn't already been considered, can I also suggest that powered gear goes around the hall walls and instrument-only exhibitors take the central tables? David 1 Quote
