My son started a couple of years ago. I stopped playing but kept a couple of basses. Upon comming in from work one day I could hear a bass being played. Running upstairs I found my 16 year old son playing my Thunderbird through my trace elliot boxer combo. I was well impressed but did remove the tbird ( don't want this damaged) and gave him a squire precision I still had. He is now studying music performance at college. Has a Jackson Kellybird in trans red. He is in a band at college and has just had his first gig.

A couple of months ago, my eldest son was just starting his BTEC music course at high school, but didn't at that point play an instrument, so he needed to choose something..... Being a super cool kid, he obviously chose bass! 😅👌🥳❤️ He's just turned 15, what a great age to start! (I was 14)

I was going to sell this cool little Ibanez GAXB150, but I gifted it to him instead. 😉

Some of his best pals are on the course too, and they've got a band going already, and have been super committed, and working hard to get where they want to be. They've even got their first performance at school next week!

He's loving old school thrash metal, so we're off to see Anthrax this week too! 🤘😎

Happy times!

Such a great photo! Lovely to see your lad looking so happy with his bass, long may it continue and I wish him much fun and success in the future x
