Hi Schnozzalee - can certainly agree with you, the craftsmanship on these basses is indeed incredible - a lot of quality there for a very realistic price - I have the same bass next but one (ending 540) in the natural flame maple finish - they did a grey also I think - but both the red and natural look stunning IMHO 🙃

Good luck with the sales - just need to avert my eyes from the guitar version - thats a beauty too

Thank you all - Peerless' are perfectly made, so I'd recommend any model. The 'retro' ones don't look as good, but play and sound great and they don't export anymore.

My guitar was a special edition for Ivor Mairants in London, but it has an underwound '57 classic that doesn't suit me - I'd prefer something 'plummier'. It also has a solid maple top as opposed to the laminate.

The pickups and hardware on the bass are brilliant, so it sounds just like you'd want it to, with plenty of wallop if needed. It is wearing rounds at the moment though.

I'd love to see the natural version @Johnboybassman - I think that would be the best finish, considering how flashy the grain is! Hard to capture on camera for the red.

Hi Schnozzalee - your wish is my command - I have never seen another one - I bought it a good few years ago, and just after buying it came across a guy in the USA kicking himself that he had been gassing over it for too long and missed out.

Not my daily bass - as I tend to favour the shortscales - but it's a stunner and no doubt about the craftsmanship - got to stop looking at your six string - they would look great together 🙈😊

I do love the peerless - I have a gigmaster guitar that I haven't played in years somewhere upstairs. I made the mistake of replacing the woodent bridge with a metal roller bridge, don't ever do that. Luckily it isn't bolted in so it is an easy swap back!

Thank you all - I nearly bought the Bassmaster Player as well 😃

What flatwounds do you use? I was thinking Rotosound, but I have D'Addario flats on the guitar (quite bright).

D'Addario Chromes XL Regular Light Gauge flats for me every time - dont like to hear a zing on my string - warm and mellow 🙃

If you have the ES-175 style Gigmaster, that's really hard to find! I was hunting one of those for a long time, as I'm a big Steve Howe fan 😁
