Sold items wasting time

Question

Hi,

I can't be the only Basschatter who begrudges wasting time ploughing through entries in the For Sale forums that are already sold.  Would it not be possible to put this in the Sort criteria so we could have all the items not containing the word "sold" at the beginning of the list?

Currently the sold adverts are useful for our Google ranking. It’s difficult enough to get sellers to mark items as sold let alone grant them the permission to move the thread to sold, and it’s a big job to ask moderators to do. Even then, we’d end up with some incorrectly sorted. I’d suggest sorting your search results by date and working backwards. Cheers

But having a real selling price database is better than removing the ads...

I genuinely don't understand why some vendors edit their ad after it has sold to remove the price ... why on earth would you do that?

The prices achieved by previous sales on Basschat are one of the best guides in Europe to the genuine state of the pre-owned market.

You're going to blame my browser but it doesn't matter what I do, the classifieds come out semi-randomly sorted by date.

Even if you click ‘sort by start date’ ? Maybe try marking the forum as read then see if it helps. Never seen that happen before so it’s not our end I’m afraid!

Tried again with refreshing the sort by start. No change. Tried marking read. It's marked read in the same jumbled order.

Correct up to a point. The prices seen are the offered price and not the sale price (in many cases they will differ). It's a yardstick, I grant you.

And CTRL + V to copy it where you want... as it's a command similar to copy-paste.

On a smartphone just slide your finger from the top, the "Screenshot" option will appear. It will become a png file that you can share immediately or find in your files (search the recent ones).

I looks like this or similar :

That rings a bell but it must have been my old phone because there's no screen shot item in the dropdown pages.
