Thank you so much, we really appreciate it :)

This has just reminded me that I need to contact you to sort some Thunder Reds out - I'll wait until the Easter bunny has been now though.......😆👍

Quick shoutout for Ashley & the peeps at Bass Direct!

Had a problem with the lining to a Mono Vertigo I bought 18 mths ago. Not only agreed a replacement after I sent a few photos but sent me a replacement BEFORE expecting the return so I wouldn’t be without it!

Great service 👏👏. Much thanks…

Wow. That is good. Literally the same thing happened with me a few years ago  - but a Mono double bass gig bag (over £200). I got a brief reply from Marcus at Bass Direct telling me to take it up with Westside Distribution. Wonder what was different.

I think evolving in the face of local competition and from taking on board feedback from some who'd perhaps not had such good experiences. Just a guess though.

Hi Mike, things were different back then and processes had to be handled through the distributors directly :)

Safe to say, we prefer the way things are now, the joys of improvement hey ;)

Cheers, Marcus

Ordered some strings yesterday at 10:40 and they were on the doormat in the morning! Fantastic!

Yes, I believe Mark was given a bicycle from Santa.

Just to add to this, I've used BD several times over the years, I've had nothing but great service!

Always buy me strings through them, yeah I can save a couple of £ if i shop around but I don't feel comfortable buying from and online only retailer.

With the demise of LGS especially in my neck of the woods, having a physical bass shop like BD is something we should protect.

Placed an order Friday am and it’s already been shipped, excellent service

I like the fact they use whatsapp for comms these days, if i need anything that's not in stock, i can just say "Yo, when is X back in stock) and saves me having to fish around in emails (hateful things that they are)!

As a comparison I ordered my XVIVE A58 from Andertons and paid next day delivery DPD based on I would be home to receive it. Order placed early enough but they didn’t ship and after calling them they said they were very busy and not all next day shipments were processed. Not a major thing as they are normally slick. As mentioned ordered on Bass Direct Friday, it was shipped Friday to arrive Monday which is fantastic. Yep they get my vote 👍

Did you receive any sort of refund from Andertons; I'm assuming the next day delivery cost you more?

Well in fairness they use DPD as a standard next day delivery so I couldn’t expect a refund and in fairness on the delivery day they emailed to say things were running late

I was driving past last week and decided to visit Bass Direct. I haven't been there since the upstairs was opened up as their secondhand dept. I tried a couple of fantastic basses, had a long chat with Mark. As always, had a great time being surrounded by great gear.

I also tried to visit Bass Brothers, who are only down the road. As they are appointment only I sent an email via their web site, giving them several days notice, but they didn't bother to answer. Thumbs down from me.

Sadly that was my experience with Bass Bros also, I suspect their web email thingy doesn't do its job very well, which these days is pretty risky for the business :(

That's not a whole lot of use if you've arranged the day off work to receive the delivery though is it? Luckily, having retired, I'm free to hang around the house endlessly in anticipation.

Well I mostly work from home but you’re right it’s not ideal if you have made other plans
