  1. Cheers Buddy, yeah i know i'm going to miss this one when it's gone, but I'm gassing for other preamps atm!
  2. I bought one last month, it's going back coz it's over kill for what I'd use it for, but a fantastic pedal none the less! It's going back next week unless someone wants it at cost!
  3. Man that's a real sahame, i would love to try one of these out though.
  4. As much as i love simplicity, I'm starting more and more looking at the digital/midi route to replace the my cumbersome current set up! i know the Spectrum has multiple distortion/fuzz settings, can one use these without the envelope/filter. ie could i create one preset of my favourite envelope filter and another that was just a fuzz for instance? Follow on question, i know the spectrum can accept an expression pedal, can you se this up to essentially be a wah wah pedal in that way? I'm seriously thinking about giving this another go as even if i set up 2 presets to replace my Bassballs, MuTron IV and Morley Cliff Burton wah that's some serious board real estate i'm freeing up. footnote* I'm thinking of ultimately getting a TWO notes Opus to take car of all of my pre-amp needs.
  5. Sounds like this could fit the bill https://www.sushiboxfx.com/product/finally-v2/ I have the space heater, which is the basically the (now discontinued) non DI version of this pedal. It really nails that edge of break up perfectly, I use it to push my Ampeg into overdrive Fully cranked this pedal is powerful
  6. Nice easy guy to deal, with, no issues at all! cheers buddy
  7. Great pedal and i'll defp miss the added boost section, selling as i have far too many envelope filters/Auto wahs atm! Box is long gone I'm afraid. Price includes postage in UK. "Orange Is The New Black, Again The original DiscumBOBulator was often heralded as being the world’s best autowah/envelope filter pedal. So how do you improve a pedal that’s already flawlessly funky? Well, start out by making the filter-triggering even better and extend the dynamic range and feel. Now triple the headroom signal, so the pedal handles the red hot signals of active bass pickups and line level inputs like a piece of cake. Finally you add an independent 10dB boost that’ll make funky solos take flight instantly, and you have the new improved DiscumBOBulator V2. Boasting everything from full-on funk tones to old-school cocked wah sounds and all the way to unique synth-like tones, via its super-intuitive control set, DiscumBOBulator V2 truly is the definition of cool! • Wide range of cool old-school auto-wah tones • Dead-on tracking – both on single notes as well as chords • Wide frequency spectrum – making it suitable for any instrument. • 10dB independent boost – perfect for making funky solos pop out of the mix • Top-mounted I/O • Handmade in Denmark • True-Bypass switching The goal of the DiscumBOBulator V2 was to create an envelope filter pedal that would be able to handle everything from super-fast single-note lines to denser signals such as complex chords, without getting mushy. The pedal’s proprietary all-analog circuit does just that while letting the full spectrum of your preferred instrument through, making this auto-wah perfectly suitable for everything from guitar to bass to keys… heck, throw flutes or violins at it or whatever you’ve got on hand, we promise that they’ll all pass with flying quaky colours and that you won’t experience any of the nasty volume peaks or dips that are common to other filter pedals out there."
  8. Genuine Tube Compressor, the tube itself actually performs the compression, not a compressor with a tube circuit! Give a beautiful something to your tone and some tube warmth. Original box and power supply (it requires 12V). Price includes postage in the UK. COMPRESSORE is a state-of-the-art compression tool that allows you to control gain, threshold, ratio, attack and release. The pedal also true bypass, which means that when the compressor is ‘off’, your signal goes directly from the input jack to the output jack without any degradation of audio quality. Input Impedance: 300 Kohm Gain: 0 ÷ +16dB Threshold: 30mVp ÷ 1,8 Vp Ratio: 1:1 ÷ 1:? (hard limiter) Attack: 2 ÷ 50 ms Release: 100 ÷ 750 ms Output Impedance: 100 ohms Power Requirements – DC input: +12VDC / 600mA minimum* TUBE: 1x ECC81 Dimensions: 6.53”x 5.59”x 2.08” / 166 x 142 x 53 mm Weight: 1.55 lbs / 700 gr
  9. Sushi Box FX SBVT This is Nathan's take on the SVT. An absolute beast of a pedal pushed along by two 12AX7 tubes. It sounds 3D, open and huge and, as expected of Sushi Box, is very well made. It gives heft you my signal when not playing through an amp and gives a massive sound when played through a power amp/effects return. Comes with the Sushi Chef's legendary support (yes even on 2nd pedals, Nathan is very active on the Sushi Box thread on TB I don't have the original box for this, price covers delivery within the UK. It’s a pre 2021 model, so the mid frequencies are those below: 201 Hz 428 Hz 494 Hz 605 Hz 672 Hz 1.17 Khz 1.66 Khz 3 Khz "SBVT (Sushi Box Valve Technology) is my take on the Ampeg SVT preamp. It uses a pair of 12AX7 tubes to give everything from rich cleans to gritty distortion. The 8-way mids frequency selector switch adds extra flexibility, allowing the EQ to be tailored to exactly the tone you need. The SBVT is a little on the bright side making it a great fit for guitar, and the ultra-lo switch warms the tone up beautifully, making it a perfect tone for bass. The ultra-hi switch also adds an extra option for when you need to cut through the mix a little better. Milliamp Draw: 900mA @ 9vdc Warmup, 480mA @ 9vdc After Warmup Voltage: 9-12vdc"
  10. I've known two guitarists have their amps serviced y these guys and were very happy with the results, they're Leeds as well http://www.astralsonictech.co.uk/home
  11. That's the thing with the filers, it's about finding the one that gives you the sound you hear, I don't ever want to sell any of mine (we'll see) bit one gets used more than all the others out together There are two envelope pedals on sale in the classifieds (from the same seller), neither of which I had heard of but have GAS for now!
  12. Sounds like your signal path and connectivity is correct. Daisy chaining as MrDinsdale said daisy chaining with your current psu will do the job, i can recommend https://truetone.com/1-spot/ before going down the isolated route, it could save you a ton of £££££
  13. I've got an Emma Electronics Discumbobulator, Iron Ether Xerograph, MuTron Micro Tron IV EHX Bassballs and MXR Phase 90 (i know not an envelope filter but...) my favoutire tones come from running the bassballs into the phase 90, i can just dial in the exact tone in my head in seconds, the distortion circuit really helps. I've also had the SA spectrum , whilst it sounded fantastic, it just had too much flexibility and i just ended up not able to dial anything in! It's worth looking at octave and fuzz/distortion pedals to go with them as that can be a match made in heaven.
  14. Long overdue pictures now added! Come with the original box and power lead. There are 18 DC leads that i will include with this, which is all of the originals plus some extras that i've picked up along the way.
  15. Hey @MuddBass I'll take that looper off your hands if it's still available? Cheers Gregster
  16. I must admit I developed quite a taste in the month I've been here!
  17. Awesome, cheers Scrumpy Mike! Will there be Scrumpy cider on the buffet 🤣🤣
  18. Hi I've only just come across this thread, I'm only 30 min away and just moved to the area. Are there still spaces? Not sure I'll be able to bring any kit as a lot is still is storage (longish story!) Happy to Xfer the entrance fee a head of time. Thanks Gregster
  19. Only about 10 months old, in perfect condition with box and everything that came with it (Single cables of various lengths, daisy chains, voltage doubler cables and some extras) it's barely been used as all my bass gear had to go into storage whilst buying my new house (long story!) This thing could probably power a whatever you have and will most likely work with this, i'm redesigning my rig been from two boards to one and will need a larger power supply (I had two of these) so unfortunately i have to let this brilliant power supply go. Its been extremely well looked after! I will post photos tomorrow. Details can be found here - http://cioks.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=39&Itemid=56 Price includes shipping to mainland UK
  20. Sushi box pedals are the bomb! I have the space heater which was the non DI version of the Finally, great at just adding some tube warmth to an amp too full blown all out overdrive. There is a really good thread on Talkbass which Nathan (mr Sushi Box) is very active, a lot of users get some great results tube rolling on these pedals, swapping out for lower gain 12A type tubes to widen that sweet spot.
  21. Hey dude How's it going. Is the Zvex Mastotron still availble?
  22. I would love to purchase this but unfortunately (for my bass playing at least!)! I'm buying a house and all my readies are going towards that atm.
  23. I picked one of these up last month, these rarely come up 2nd hand and are even harder to get new! It's a bomb of a filter pedal.
