  1. I picked one of these up last month, these rarely come up 2nd hand and are even harder to get new! It's a bomb of a filter pedal.
  2. Maybe that is true, but this is a loud amp! I've A/B'd this with an Ampeg V4B, PF50T tru an SVT210AV and the V4B through an Ampeg B series 4x10, tonaly nothing between them, volume wise, if i switched cabs i think there is very little in it. This will totally blow away a 50 watt solid state amp, it keeps pretty good pace with my baby sumo 600w power amp. I use this with an SVT212SAV, firstly it sounds gorgeous, secondly it keeps up with a guitarist with 100w Marshall plus 4 x 12 and drummer, but the sounds be break up, if you want ti 100% clean it will be quieter. I cannot think of reason why i would sell mine it's a gorgeous amp. I'm tempted to put in a cheeky offer on the flight case! But someone is getting a bargain.
  3. I had to find that video as soon as you mentioned it. @The Bucket i would love to buy this pre-amp but funds do not stretch even half that far atm
  4. These are are fantastic! I have the Morley Cliff Burton and i wish i had paid £80 for it!
  5. **** UPDATE*** Moving house next friday so really need to get rid of this asap! Happy to now post (at buyers expense) ****************************************************************************** Selling my Guitart stool as I'm moving house fairly soon and won't have space for it. It's in like new condition. Looking for £10 collected, I'm in Fleet just off the M3. It's this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Stagg-MT-300-BK-Musicians-Throneith/dp/B005GQI2V2
  6. Two Notes Le Bass - £160 + £5 UK postage NOW SOLD Tube preamp with 2 channels, Clean channel A boost only broad EQ, Drive channel B 3 band cut and boost with sweepable mids. Channels can run separate, be cascaded or run parallel. Can be controlled via midi, built in cab sim, headphones out and DI out. Was less than a year old when i bought from another BCer in August this year and i've not gigged or used it at rehersal, Good condition with a couple of paint nicks. Comes with box and PSU. Tech 21 Sansamp Programmable Bass Driver £135 + £5 UK postage NOW SOLD This pedal is in great working order. There is some obvious cosmetic wear and tear. All knobs turn smoothly and without any crackles. All switches click perfectly. This is for the pedal and box only, no manual. Description from Tech 21 NYC… Always thinking of our fat-stringed brethren, we had to make a 3-channel, programmable, rig-in-a-box for bassists who can’t get enough of a great thing. Like the TRI-A.C. for guitar, you get three hot tones right at your toetips. The all-analog circuitry features the same controls as its single channel predecessor: Drive, Bass, Treble, Presence, Blend and Level. Digital only in its programmability, you just tweak the knobs until you find a tone, double-tap on a footswitch, and it’s saved in that channel. It’s that simple. Three of your faves — to go! ADDITIONAL FEATURES • Build your Bass Driver DI into a live rig with a Bass Power Engine 60, and run through the PA for extra power. • Boldly go live with just your Bass Driver DI straight into the PA. • Bounce into any studio with a Programmable Bass Driver DI and plug directly into the board. • While larger than our other SansAmp pedals, the Programmable Bass Driver DI still fits into a gig bag. Actual size: 7.25”L x 5.25”W x 2.25”H. • Even with its roadworthy all-metal construction, each unit weighs in at a mere 25oz. Both pedals sound excellent, I've used in front of both solid state and tube amps to great effect, I'm only letting these go as I've purchased a Sushi Box SVBT pedal and it's exaclty the tone i was after. Any questions, please ask
  7. I used to have this and one of their dual compressor pedals as i couldn't afford a Trace rig back in the day! Awesome pedal!
  8. just purchased Mike's Sushi Box SBVT pedal, It's amazing! Mike was super helpful, sent me a whole bunch of sound clips and the pedal arrived the day after i paid for it, well packaged and has been just grewat to deal with! Top, top bloke!
  9. Sell the children? it could fund the purchase and free up your time 🤣
  10. 2nd this, sounds like SCR DI is they way to go. Basically an SVT in a DI box. My guitarist has one and I've used it enough live/rehersal and in the studio to be happy with it for a one box solution. I'd take it over the Ampeg pre all day long especially on the second hand market. I've recorded it side by side with my Ampeg PF50T (transformer DI) and it holds it's own agianst it. It's an ampeg DI box, so if that's the tone you are after then it's a great tool. There are plenty of other DI/Pres out that there that all ahve their merit but art differing price points.
  11. I might do some sound clips with Super P vs the MIA at some point. I've literally not picked up the Fender since i bought this!
  12. Yeah it's gonna take a little while to pay this off, then I go cab hunting!
  13. Disclaimer, NBD was over a month ago, but i've just been too busy playing this to do a write up!! Firstly props to Mark and the team at Bass direct for their excellent help and service! I spent the day at their show room recently, looking for my next level p bass. I've played a Fender MIA Performer P for the last 4 years and as much I love the bass I've been searching for something a bit more! (We're never satisfied are we!!) I spent a day in London before the pandemic playing vintage Precision basses and whilst these are incredible basses I didn't find the tone I was looking for, (I do have an Ibanez Mezzo with EMG Geezers and flats which gives a pretty damn good approximation of a vintage P, for a fraction of the price!) What i was looking for in regards to tone, was solid P bass and a good P/J tone, i don't slap much but i do like the P/J when i do. I found the Performer P to be all or nothing when dialing in the J pickup and whilst the tone was OK it was always quiet noisy and lacked punch. My other considerations were playablility, weight and of course, Mojo, and instrument has got to speak to you when you pick it up! I went to Bass direct as they have a wonderful range of basses in stock and ticked off the manufacturers I wanted to try out that made "high end " p basses, namely Sadowsky, Mike Lull, Sandberg, Maruszcyk and were the only guitar store in the world (i checked!!) to have a Dingwall Super P in stock (they actually had 2 and a Super J). Needless to say, every bass i played was an incredible instrument with great tone and high levels of craftsmanship and i'd have been happy to add anyone of them to my collection, we are truly lucky to have so many quality instruments! The Super was unputdownable that day, as much as i really loved the Sandberg (was just a single P pup model) and if i wanted a "bog standard " P that would it the Dingwall was another level. I preferred the PJ over the P and the selector switch (P, PJ parallel, PJ series and J) gave the bass 4 distinct characters whilst always being true to it's self. It's the best playing bass i've ever played, incredibly well crafted, balanced and light. The tones are fantastic and i've not used my Eden preamp (i used to kick this in to shape my tone for slap) as just switching to the PJ setting gives me a great tone with my current EQ settings (anyone want to buy my Eden WTDI!). Now if i had ordered this from Sheldon direct i would not have chosen this colour! But it was either this or a 2 year wait (and would have been boring and order vintage sun burst i'm sure!) and i'm actually quiet happy i've got something a bit more unique. It's a modern sounding and looking P bass, so i think it's apt it has modern styling!! I've also recently taken delivery of a GSS Baby Sumo (i'll be posting in a NAD soon) and i take the post tranny DI from my Peg PF50T into the sumo so i can push the tubes hard AND play at bedroom levels when i need to (i live in an apartment and both my neighbors have young kids). I'll post a video i took this morning. I've finally got the tone i've been searching for!! This is a link to the bassdirect webpage for the bass put i'll post some of my own pics shortly!
