I do hope it’s legit as at that price it’s a steal for someone. Quote

rwillett Posted January 26 Posted January 26 If it walks like a duck, squarks like a duck, etc etc... I did like the "Why" as if this was a wholly unreasonable request. It made me smile. You're spending $5000 and would like to check what you are buying. Quote

Reggaebass Posted January 26 Author Posted January 26 I looked on the LowEnd Bass Shop at their 64, I’m pretty sure it’s the same bass , with the wear and chipped pickguard Quote

Mrbigstuff Posted yesterday at 19:18 Posted yesterday at 19:18 Not a fan of the slab body but that neck is gorgeous for a Fender https://bassbros.co.uk/product/1966-fender-precision-bass-slab-body/ 2 Quote
Steve Browning Posted yesterday at 19:43 Posted yesterday at 19:43 Might need to relabel the fingerboard. Quote
Reggaebass Posted 8 hours ago Author Posted 8 hours ago It certainly looks nice, I don’t think I’ve ever played a slab body before, with it having no contours it can’t be comfortable I’d have thought Quote
SurroundedByManatees Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Fender Jazz bass 1969 - burgundy mist https://reverb.com/item/94457176?utm_source=android-app&utm_medium=android-share&utm_campaign=listing&utm_content=94457176 What a poor advertisement. It's priced on the high side, probably because presumably it would have been a custom color at one point. But; custom color would have a white pickguard (and matching headstock) as far as I know!? And even then; it's a refin. The lack of usable pictures is surprising. At this price point, you'd expect some effort.. On the side; I don't understand the premium price dealers ask for an instrument that once had a rare custom finish but has refinished since. Edited 1 hour ago by SurroundedByManatees Quote
BassAgent Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago On the high side? The price is insane. I paid half for my refin 1970... Quote

Just looking through Geddy’s book and he does have some late 60s and 1970s basses in custom colours but none burgundy mist. Some had matching h/s and some didn’t so I guess it was buyers choice at that point. Quote
