32" Medium Scale Bass Thread

There's a guy on talkbass who's been making conversion necks for a while, but they're £600+.

If these do the same job for the price listed here, and if the quality is good, then it would really open up the medium scale market for everyone 🤞

No, it was this one, cost me £102.32 incl. shipping in January of this year, and I wasn't charged any duties etc.

 

It  looks like it's even cheaper now, I've just put one into my basket to see what the total cost (incl. shipping) would be, and it comes to $92.91 (£69.82).

It's a decent neck for the money.

Right.  Got my numbers for tonight’s lottery, and picked out my spec on the mar… maroosh… public peace configurator: £2.5k!  Looks damn fine though!

Only arrived Tuesday and no chance to gig it yet, but look, feels and sounds just what I wanted. Sits perfectly when worn.

I think I made the right decision in not going for another 5 (I have the ACG jazz 5 here if needed)

Just browsing the GG website (as you do) and came across these 32” Gretschs, I had no idea they existed.

There was a little discussion about those Gretsch CVTs last year on this thread. I guess it’s good to have another medium scale bass on the market but I don’t really understand the significant price hike over the Junior Jet.

Well i couldn't find a 32" SC headless...So i decided to design and build my own.

 

 

Had a pair of Peavy VFL's 5;s lying around so one's gone in the bridge (im still looking for it's preamp..it's about here somwhere!) and id thinking of dropping an S in the middle position (maybe mod one in after it's finished) My 2.9mm stainless wire just arrived after being lost/delayed last month, not sure if i'll be going high gloss or hard wax/poly wipe on yet...i should start a build log here for this i guess.
