38lbs, 2 x 12, titanium bullet tweeter, 4 ohm with poor fitting/tatty Roqsolid.

IT HAS AN ISSUE AND SOLD AS SUCH!

There is an awful rattling, the louder you go, the worse it gets. BUT, it only seems to do this in my house, not at gigs  .

This is only going to be up until the weekend. After that it goes into GEE Electronics in Warrington to get sorted.
That might cost me £60. It might cost me £200, I really don't know.
If I did, the cab would most likely not be up for sale.

For right or wrong, I traded £500 worth of cabs for this, as weight and shape were ideal for me.

So, if anybody is brave enough to take this on with the thought they can sort the issue, £275 collected from Wigan (or £275 meet up within 50 miles of Wigan).

Are YOU brave enough to take the chance  ?
Cheers,
Karl.

PS. I've just noticed, seems like a previous owner has put their postcode on it. Actually 1st time I've noticed, so it's not obvious.

Rich, I've tried everything in this little bloody house but I can't suss what it is, hence the comments.
I've only used it for 3 gigs (hiatus until Feb) and it's performed very well with no issues BUT if I advertise it like that, and somebody goes to their 1st gig with it and it "kicks off" , it will be a problem for buyer and seller.

Not sure I'm being a bit knee jerk tbh, will probably end up taking it to GEE's on Monday and just hope it's not too much :P

YOU sir, are a BAD, BAD, repeat BAD.. man.. i have a Schroeder 110 that does more than any 110 has a right to with both my Fender and ACG 5's so the prospect of a 212.... giddy aunt called!! The ONLY saving race in all this is that I'm out of the UK... but only until Sunday...
If I don't get there all I can say is: GOT to be worth a punt!!!
It could be the 10p piece I stuck under the edge of the driver at the last gig...

Karl mate, you know you photographed it outside? Just a thought, but a mains extension, your amp and bass could help you be a bit more definitive... :D

I've owned this cab, and it was great - and that was when the tweeter was buggered, it'll be even better now. Rounder tone than the very small angle-baffled Schroeders, but still identifiably a Schroeder...not hifi at all, but in a very good way...

Thanks guys.
I can't find the spec either and I'm not going to get the chance to take the back off until the weekend.
There are references to Celestions on ****bass.

Muzz, me owld apfel strudel, that's a most excellent idea :i-m_so_happy:.

I did take it into the warehouse last week to wind it up a bit.
Couldn't hear the "sympathetic vibration".
Mainly because the 3 foot cubed heating unit on the ceiling was being rattled out of it's mountings

Perhaps best folks if we just leave it until further investigation at the weekend.

Some might say Muzz and WOT were trying to see how gullible I am. Answer below  :P

So, I tried both suggestions.
Results.
Definitely less noticeable outside, BUT still very much a rattle/sympathetic vibration thing.
No difference with the cab upside down, it's still there :(

Andy, I've had a look at the back and there is no obvious way of taking the main back panel off, however, I will take the little central back panel (the little one with speakon, tweeter controls etc) off and see if I can identify the speakers.
I think though at 38lbs (it's definitely a touch lighter than the Barefaced Super Twelves I've had) it's very likely they are Neo.

As an aside, our very own Gary McKay completely rewired this a few months back. His sale post can still be found.
Cheers,
Karl.

Ah, OK - that discounts a cable lying on one of the drivers, then. Worth a shot!
Damn, you really are very clever!

Hey Karl,
if you get it fixed are you still gonna sell it?
Not a hope in Hell :)

Think it's more an issue of sorting rather than fixing, if that makes any sense

When you remove the plate, have a feel around inside the cab. I had a 21012, and the actual gubbins of the crossover were on a separate board attached to the cabinet back with Velcro, check this hasn't come loose and is rattling around inside the cab.

Thanks guys.
I've had the front off and tightened all front accessible parts.
I don't really want to start farting about behind the baffle too much as I don't know a crossover from a roll over  .
I'm ok with basses (except electrics) but really clueless with amps and cabs, hence offering it cheaply for a confident person.

If it goes to GEE's next week, I know it's going to be at least their £60 test fee, so if I spend a lot on it, it will be getting kept until it shuffles off it's own mortal coil :P

Ok, I've taken photos of the inside, via the rear control panel. Not great but best I can do.
I am now officially sick of the sight oft his bleedin' cab now  .

What about a leg-over? :gas:

Have a bump. :)
