I'm in two bands. Both feature past and present lead singers with Transglobal Underground, global dance fusion pioneers. TGU founders Hamid Mantu is on kit with both bands and Alex Kasiek plays keys with Doreen.

They are all brilliant singers and musicians and I feel very humbled to have the honour of playing bass with them.

Doreen Thobekile - Formerly of TGU - Zulu Funk. Zulu township songs over TGU music and production.
Album - London Zulu on Mule Satellite. www.myspace.com/doreenthobekile

Krupa - currently in TGU and previously of One Giant Leap - Urban Desi Funk/Dance/Ambient. Album coming soon. www.myspace.com/krupa

Transglobal Underground's seventh album Moonshout is available from all the usual places.

Hi all!
My band is Limeshark ( link at bottom of post )
We are an original rock band with I suppose what you could call a progressive edge, we,ve been together for a few years now and are always tweaking and experimenting with our sound and song writing styles and we,ve changed quite a bit since the first few demos.
Our first real album was released at the beginning of 2008 and we recieved a few good reviews including one from Geoff Barton of Classic Rock magazine ( the full review is in our 'press' section ).
We are currently writing for a follow up which we hope to have done by the autumn.

The album and all the early demos are on the site to be heard and there are four promo videos on there including our latest opus 'Stygian'

Hope you enjoy.

well, in my last reply i had 4 bands. now theres only one of those left, and that one didn't have a myspace or website.

were currently recording, so music should be up fairly soon. but theres a couple of live vids of ac/dc covers you can watch, not great quality, but you get the drift.

i play in a band called angryman

www.angryman.info

the band has 2 albums Long way and Better Life, angryman has been a popular peterboough band for 6 years and have had some wider spread sucess.

our video for the song Better Life has had over 75000 you tube hits and we have been recently played on channel 4 and some time on local radio.

We were hoping on a massive year and new album but a loss of drummer and a sacking of management has put things back a bit, but onwards and upwards

we have a few videos on you tube

search angryman, angryman peterborough and angryman distant shore.

Scarlet Blue, my first originals band was mostly active between 2002 and 2006, when we recorded our last EP. We've not really been active since 2006 for various reasons, university being the primary one. We do occasionally gig when we're all in the same place though.

MySpace, last.fm page.

As for genre... we always described ourselves as alternative rock, but that can be a bit vague.

Since starting uni I've been involved in a number of bands. The one that gigs the most is a 9-piece covers band called The White Keys. We do funk, soul and a bit of pop. (New demos and website coming very soon!)

I can't be bothered listing the others (simply because there's quite a few, not because I don't like them!). I do have a few tracks up on my own MySpace, with links to most of the bands I play in. Most of them are singer-songwriters who need a hired hand, I suppose. Although technically I'm not hired, I just go to college with them and they ask nicely.

Hi, I am in a Trio! called The BLACK J's.

Got together with a drummer and guitarist back in December. We maily play our own material and have had a few recordings at MADDOG STUDIO'S in North Wales. Recorded a few live takes in rehersal which can be listened to on our Myspace site!

Our style can be described as a Dark Driven Blues / Rock & Grunge sound! We cant realy sing but we have a bash as it gives a real dirty sound!

Got our first gig this thursday night at the Tivoli in Buckley (North Wales).

Click on Black J's on my signature for a link to Myspace site!

Cheers

Justin. ;) :P

I play in First Signs Of Frost
We peddle our own brand of melodic progressive rock/metal, with an emphasis on songs, not tech for tech sake.

Our debut album will be out soon, next few months or so, it's recorded and mixed and awaiting mastering!

Feel free to check us out at www.myspace.com/firstsignsoffrost

I also play in a covers band called Re:Cover, I very much enjoy playing with the guys in the band, they are what make it fun! I also do some dep and session work but FSOF is my main focus and priority!

I play in Cavalier, a great indie-rock band. I've playes jazz, soul and funk for years, but this is very much the main event. Not just for me, but for music in general (!)

Aside from that, occasionally I play in Column of Force - the UK's only working Tower of Power tribute band (I believe). Message me if you want the super-tight, funky sound of ToP but without the massive price-tag of the original.

Loving some of the stuff people are putting up here. Basschatters clearly go in for top-notch projects.

I'm in a thrash metal band called The Quarry.

myspace.com/thequarrymusic

EP up for grabs here: Download

We're currently on the look-out for a London-based lead guitarist, so drop me a PM if you know any good lead guys who are after some thrashy fun.

ROCK!!
I'm not actually in a full time band, we're just a bunch of mates who hook up when we're all in the country at the same time..
A couple of the guys in the band are beginners so nothing too complex, but it's fun
Usually Led Zep, sabbath, etc..

I also occasionally meet up with a few guys and blast through some cool funk / jazz / fusion (and pretty much anything Dave Weckl has done - thanks to the drummer!), but that's not very often at all.

Any excuse to make noise really!
I play in a band called Within The Void www.withinthevoid.com featuring Pin (ex-Sikth) Jamie Hunt (Ex-Biomechanical), myself and drummer Thomas Lang. We are currently looking for a world class singer to complete the line up!

There are no choons on the website yet, but add yourself to our myspace to get updates!
I first read this post and thought, Thomas Lang, yeah and my band has Neil Peart as a drummer! Then i realised you actually DO have Thomas Lang as a drummer!!! That's amazing.

My band, Her Fatal Legacy. We're not really doing very well at the moment due to recruitment issues, check out the pic in my sig.

Hey dood maybe it'd be an idea to make this into a sticky? ;)
