Lightweight, Compact and Powerful RIG PORN!

Show us your super lightweight, compact and powerful rigs! I’m not discriminating against brands here, anything small and powerful is welcome to join the party :)

Lax criteria; if you think your rig fits into the “lightweight, compact and powerful” category then post a pic, although anything over 100lbs isn’t lightweight

I’ll start things rolling with this, my Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 and Epifani UL310 rig:

Weighing in at a total of 50.75lbs (23Kg), it is unbelievably light. The Shuttle 6.0 kicks out 600W @ 4ohms, but the Epifani is a 5.3ohm cab so realistically the max output will be around 500W – 520W (complete guesstimate). The tone is unbelievable for the size and weight of the thing; a smooth and full bottom end with crisp and clear tops, possibly a tendency to exaggerate the mids and sound slightly nasal but this is easily remedied by tweaking the EQ slightly on the amp. My SSI sounds amazing through it. Nice :brow:

Mine can be seen behind my Fireglo Rick - a Markbass R500 (8 lbs) and an Epifani UL310 (47 lbs), for a grand total of 55 lbs.

The Markbass 106HR cab on the right is for bigger gigs or where there is no decent PA. It weighs 71 lbs

Do you know what the differences are between the series 2 and the original UL cabs? Upgraded drivers I would guess?

They all sound so good that some nights it's difficult to decide which one to take!

Series 1 cabs had B&C speakers, same make as Markbass, then Epifani switched to Eminence. I believe B&C couldn't meet the demand.

Now the Series 2 cabs have had to switch from Italian poplar so the weight of the cabs has gone up by about 6llbs.

Don't know. I've never heard a series 2 cab and I'm afraid I'm not big on analysis anyway. My level of review just about runs to, "I like it cos it sounds great"! You can find details of these cabs on TalkBass. They've been comparing and discussing for at least 12 months!

:) yeah I don't get on with that forum on a navigational and ease of use aspect, as well as a general dislike of how American it is (adverts every-f***ing-where etc). I've read a bit on the various series 1 vs 2 threads and to be honest I've just wasted about 15 minutes of my life; A lot of people for and against each series for a varying number of reasons. Some people say the series 1 is louder and has a fuller and lower low end, and others are saying exactly the same thing about the series 2
It would be great to A/B a series 1 and 2 at one of the bashes…

(this is my 1000th post  what a sad f***er I am )

Hi everyone!!
Have recently exchanged my EBS head for an Eden WT 550, so now i have a small head for the first time, its still heavier than most markbass heads mind.
Not had a chance to use it in anger yet, but it has a lovely warm sound with enough clarity to cut through when needed. oh and takes up much less room in the car, so i can take the EUB.

The mini rig Eden WT 550 & Accugroove tri 110 ( I have two of these cabs so i can get 550 watts at 4ohms, the head can go to 750 watts at 2ohms so ive extra power should i need it)
[attachment=13330:P9070002.JPG][attachment=13331:P9070001.JPG]

Also both accugroove cabs together, ridiculously light, and sound massive, bit big compared to most neo 10,s as it has a 6" mid driver, but the overall sound isnt far off that of a 2X10. dont have any pics of the eden and both cabs so here,s an old one.

keep rockin and heres to no chiropractor bills- LEE
ps I cant seem to take any photos of my gear without my cats joining in, but as we all know 8 out of 10 cats prefer bass cabs.
