louisthebass Posted May 29, 2015 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Jack Bruce was a great bassist - Cream were a band I listened to when I had been playing a while. Was lucky enough to see him play at the 2nd Bass Centre Weekend at City of London Poly in 1988 - he did a cracking version of "Politician" with (I think) his nephew on guitar and Neal Wilkinson on drums. White Cloud Posted June 3, 2015 Author Share Posted June 3, 2015 Good stuff folks! It always struck me that Jack was an enormously talented yet unusual fretless player. He predominantly played unlined fretless yet under scrutiny his intonation was often very precise...and he avoided many of the more common fretless techniques.
