tauzero
It was a bit speculative - The Tweets were trying to get it used for golf coverage on the BBC, much as "The Chain" is used for Formula 1, but failed miserably, as did Abba with "Eagle". [/quote] The Tweets were ahead of the curve in more ways than one. Not only did they foresee the rise of social media, they were also advertising butter way before Johnny Rotten. They were engaged in a marketing campaign by the French butter magnate Marcel Isson, hence their hymn to the "beurre d'Isson".

tauzero
Blink-182 were named after an episode of the spin-off series from the Doctor Who episode "Blink", which was the first appearance of the Weeping Angels. In episode 182, the Weeping Angels encounter the Hells Angels, leading to considerable destruction until Roger Daltrey flies overhead singing and the two sides put aside their differences, at least until an argument starts over the relative merits of Entwistle and Palladino. The spin-off series has yet to be shown on British television.
