£2900

P/X's considered - Alembic SC or MK, Kingbass or high end Bass Collection 400/500/600 series.

OK, finally need to bite the bullet and accept reality...I have too many basses so a cull is in order.

For sale is my Ritter Cora which I acquired from Molan a while back. Formally owned by our own Scooby. Spec is here:

It really is a beautiful and desirable piece of kit but I can't justify keeping it in it's case unused, under my bed so it needs to find a new home.

Thanks Barry.....but I can't justify having it under the bed for 9 months of the year...really needs to go to a good home where it'll get used.

I agree....not only for looking at though....play it and you'll understand why they demand the price they do...

Jens Ritter is a genius; a world class luthier with hi-fi fanaticism, German engineering skills and an unparalleled appreciation for bass finishes....one day I will own a Ritter bass. Sadly it won't be now :( Best of luck with the sale, these things are nothing short of incredible!

Tempted to offer my KB as px... Any hints on the tone? I tried a Ritter years ago and it was nice but nothing to write home about considering the price... That one had triplebuckers or something like that though

I thought this would have been snapped up initially - just shows how poor the market is currently..

This is a lovely bass, just most of us have other halfs that would remove our love spuds if we spent that much money.

Seemingly pointless exercise bump...

don't lose hope, you are holding an amazing bass, for some reason it is easier to sell a fodera in 5000 pounds than a ritter in almost half, even though IMO Ritter's build quality and sound are no less and in some cases a lot better....

I totally agree with you, for any reason i will change my ritter R8 for an other bass ... except maybe just to take an other Ritter.

I really like the R8 - one of the nicest single cut basses around - there's a really nice white one on eBay at the moment - Molan has a white Cora (I think) with white strings - looks very stylish...

This will probably be going to The Gallery following The Herts Bass Bash as there has been little interest here..

Hi,

Really beautiful. How is that maple neck sounding ? Heavily compressed like Fender or more opened ?

Tony.
