I am new to the DB (well EUB actually) and have got the confidence and courage to start from reading the posts in this part of BC and am so thankful for the knowledge and experience being shared in this forum (Geoff's videos were a Godsend at first trying to get the technique). Christmas greetings not only to the experienced members who have contributed so much but also to those who are starting on their DB journeys. I'm not too bad right now, just getting over a bout of pneumonia and looking forward to resuming on 30th Dec. My pizz fingers are a bit buttery but I'll just have to start practicing again! Had a great year gigging my DB, talked myself into buying an EUB thanks to various forum posts (which has proven great for 3am practice sat up with the baby) and thanks to the forum again I also found my bass teacher who got me through my (straight faces please) grade 2 practical and grade 3 theory, so at 35 I'm now as advanced as most 8 year olds...!
