I've not been playing long, about seven months and sometimes it feels more like self inflicted torture than playing an instrument. But I reckon I'm hooked for life now and hope to be able to contribute and probably buy a bass or ten from these forums in the coming months and years. Play with other people. It really accelerates skill levels. Of course, you may be doing that already.
