Selling my ultra rare Zon 'Michael Manring' Hyperbass.

3 octave fretless, with d-tuners on all 4 strings. Bartolini pickup and 3 band EQ. Solid bridge. Maple top, mahogany back. Composite neck with phenowood (wood pressure impregnated with resin stuff) The build time on a new one of these is mental. If you can get Joe Zon to reply to your emails.

The bass is in excellent condition and can be strung with piccolo strings for multi-tuning madness, or a good set of regular strings for 'normal' use. It also comes with the official fitted hardcase that is a $440 option (when Zon say 'option' they mean that if you don't want to buy the case you have to collect it in person at the factory because they won't ship it!!).

As these are super rare (only 2 in the UK including this one I believe) I asked a couple of our favourite specialist high end bass retailers about the used value, and they both said £4250.00 so that's what I've set the "Price or Trade value" at.

That being said, I'm happy to listen to proposals!

[s]Needless to say, I'm not very keen on shipping this. So if you want it shipped then you organise and pay for the courier. You pick the insurance levels. The packing of the instrument will be photographed and filmed in nauseating detail to make sure it leaves my hands in perfect condition and so any shipping mishaps can be dealt with properly.[/s]

Collection only.

The big price drop is because I need to raise funds for work on my house. So no trades now.

More photos will follow of every inch of it when I get a moment.

Ask any questions you might have.

Bump.

I would consider part-x trades for cheaper basses with cash my way.

Stuff I like includes a Zon Vinny / VB4; BSX Allegro EUB; Sadowsky Will Lee; Marleaux Betra 5; Yamaha Attitude 2 or 3.

The only amp related item I would like to own is a Suhr Badger 30 head. Not many of them about anyway!
