Hello!

I though you would like to know that there is a new post on my blog 'Jamerson Analysed'. The track is 'Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing' by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. This track, and the others that I have analysed can be found here http://jamersonanalysed.blogspot.co.uk/

Hope you enjoy it!

Chris.

That's an amazingky detailed breakdown you've done mate, fantastic stuff, I've akways loved thst line. In fact, I had the privilege of playing it on an advert session for Burger King in Australia of all things while I was living there around 2000/2001 (I know, I know, but hry, it pays the bills! Hahaha).

+1 to all these comments. Spent a long time learning and soaking in a number of Jamerson tracks for our Motown act, I sincerely love his playing and appreciate your own appreciation of him. Skilled piece of analysis and playing!

(I've sent a link to my lad, just finished his musical degree this year, also a very capable bass player who appreciates JJ)

Thanks for that Chris, brilliant. Hard to believe he played those basslines with one finger (The Hook). Like your playing and great tone, as a matter of interest what strings are you using?

I know, it's crazy isn't it? I'm just using some very old Dean Markley Blue Steels with a foam mute.
