1. And sold in record time! :-)
2. Headway EDB-1 for sale, complete with box, instruction manual and PSU. Hardly used and in fantastic condition, pretty spotless, but for a very slight scuff on the left side of the unit (tried to show this in the pics, see below) Here's some blurb about the unit for anyone unfamiliar with it... With the compact Headway EDB-1 (Sheer Acoustic Equaliser Direct Blend) mega multi-purpose external pre-amplifier box you can completely shape your sound with a 5-band interactive EQ, switchable input impedance, and 3-way range switch. The preamp's controls offer acoustic guitar, bass, or violin settings—which cut unwanted low end tones below the useable frequency range of the instrument. This cuts body-handling noise, unwanted resonances, feedback, and violin bowing noise. Feedback and other resonance problems may be further tackled by a very effective, broad-ranging tunable notch filter and a phase reverse control. The Headway EDB-1 preamp's inputs provide plenty of options for any amplification you use. Whether using a 1/4" jack, balanced stereo 1/4" jack, or XLR jack for a microphone, the EDB-1 has got you covered. Headway EDB-1 inputs include mono jack, stereo jack and XLR, through 2 channels. The inputs enable you to blend in an extra pickup, or microphone. You can plug into them with 1 or 2 standard mono jack leads, a jack lead plus an XLR, or a stereo jack lead. An unbalanced 1/4" jack would be related to the Channel 1 input. A balanced 1/4" jack relates to the stereo input (using channels 1 and 2), for an instrument using an internal mic and pickup, being blended internally. Channel 2 mic is an XLR input allowing you to use a microphone onstage, if your instrument does not have a pickup. Each channel's input impedance switches allow you to optimize the voicing for any of the major pickup types, while a huge amount of extra levels can be applied via the gain controls and master volume. Phantom power is also available to jack in and XLR inputs, making the unit friendly for use with quality condenser mics and Instruments wired with no battery inside instrument, but with active pickups needing powering. The outputs use a balanced XLR out and a line out jack. If an earth loop is heard causing hum, you may kill it by pressing the earth lift switch. The two outputs also allow you to split the signal, such as between an acoustic combo amp for stage monitoring and an out front mixing desk. The Headway EDB-1 preamp can be mounted on its rubber feet, carried with you on a belt clip. Powering is via two 9v PP3 ( 6F22 ) batteries, or via plug-in DC Power supply. £70 Delivered. Any questions, let me know and cheers for looking
3. Heavens above!!!!! If this hasn't gone, I'll eat my hat. (still loving that 5 string Yammy fretless you sold to me mate ;-)) I don't need this but very much want it. You know how it is BCers ;-)
4. That BB2000 I've got is my dream bass. Wanted one for ages and finally got one a couple of years back. 30 years old so plenty of dings but sounds fantastic and is certainly the best bass I've had. I suppose if it had been pristine, I'd probably feel as protective as you do. But once you get a little wear you start to worry less and enjoy an instrument more I think. The first cut is the deepest and all that.. It's bizarre to me that you can pay a premium amount for Fender Custom Shop instruments that have been somewhat artificially aged and "roadworn," but hey ho. So if you do end up keeping it, enjoy and keep it away from that clumsy guy in the band :-)
5. Hello mate. You obviously love this bass (it certainly is a beauty!!) so why not get out there and gig it? Scratches/dings/chips; it's all part of the journey. Life is short my friend, you may not find another bass you like to play as much as this. Get out there and play it and love playing it. It's what it's meant to do, to be played. Superficial damage is unavoidable but it doesn't really matter; at least it will still sound amazing :-) Sorry, I'll shut up now :-) If I had the spare cash, I'd buy it off you and gig it myself. Anyway, good luck whatever happens. Lovely bass! ;-)
6. Amazing price for this! As I always say, totally underrated basses.I once owned a '79 BB1200 and now own an '84 BB2000. Best basses I've ever had. This can't be round for long at this price surely. BARGAIN BUMP!!
7. Bought Greg's Behringer V Amp recently. Hassle free transaction and a great bloke to deal with. Well recommended ;-)

17. Hello again BCers. Here we have a black Yamaha BB424 for sale. I bought this on a bit of a whim a couple of months back, as I was really missing having a P/J equipped bass and I do love the Yams, as some of you may know... Then, lo and behold, my dream Yamaha (a BB2000 in natural) appeared on ebay and I just had to snap it up!! So this black one has now become a bit redundant, second fiddle, to say the least and as money is ever scarce in the Bobby K household, I really need to move it on. It's a fantastic bass, typical Yamaha quality and in great condition and in complete working order. There are a couple of cosmetic issues worth mentioning however. Firstly, there is a small "crack" in the surface of the wood at the top of the neck, in between the two darker laminate stripes, just below the headstock. I must emphasise that this is only at the very surface of the wood and the bass is absolutely sound structurally. The previous owner said it was caused by the way it was displayed on a hanger, at the shop he bought it from. I've tried to capture it in the pics anyway. It may be possible to sand it out. (I had a little go myself and improved the appearance a bit, but gave up. I finished it with a very fine grit an covered over with a couple of layers of Tru oil) - anyway, as I said, it's purely a cosmetic issue. The other cosmetic issue with the bass can be seen in some very prominent buckle rash on the back of the body. I tried my best to photograph this but because of the gloss black finish, it was really hard to capture (see pic, where the back of the bass is basically like a mirror! You can just make out some streaks/marks in the middle of the back of the bass. The other marks in that pic are simply dust) I may try and get a better pic. The rash is basically a number of grey streaks on the gloss black finish. Other than these two issues, the bass is very clean, with just the usual insignificant signs of use you'd find with a used bass. No electrical issues whatsoever and the bass sounds fab. The bass is in Liverpool. There is no case but the bass will be packed well. Looking for £180 delivered. If you can pick it up, I'll take 160. Pics to follow when I can get the kids off the computer !(school holidays - d'oh!!)
18. Yep it's a wet Liver-pool here today. Shame you're not closer. Always been intrigued by these little fellas and would've liked to hear it in action...
19. Where are you based sir?
20. I've coveted this one before and I do so again...! Lovely Yam mate
21. You almost bought mine jay, didn't you, if I remember correctly
22.
no refinish here she does play like butter
The refin to natural was a labour of love on my part (favourite BB colour) :-) These sound brilliant even without the active circuit engaged. Buy with confidence people ;-)
