  1. Phil, I playing on Sunday if you want me try out the cab for you, you can come as well if you like.
  2. Thanks Mike for another great day. Great see lots from last year and new faces as well. Well done with the builds jez I'm sure that hollow fretless wasn't real it was so light light . Nice to meet Andy and see some of his handiwork, really excellent. Keep up the builds lads. And finally well done Phil the cab sounded pretty good, and thank you to the ladies for the wonderful food. Roll on the next one. Brilliant
  3. Thanks Ped should make things easier for everyone
  4. Hi I've got Badass bridges on some of my basses. I love the look of them but can honestly say that they don't in my opinion make any difference to the sound. As nilebodgers says you might have to shim the neck if you fit one.
  5. I hope it's just me but I think the links to the sound files might need restoring, couldn't get any response
  6. Yes Wembly loudspeakers repaired a gk speaker for me a few years ago. Did an excellent job and were pretty quick if I remember.
  7. Hope to be there was good last time. Will be nice meet up again.

  10. Thanks to all involved, it was a splendid day all round. Thanks again to the ladies for the lovely food and great to be able to put faces to names. Some excellent work from Jabba, great to see someone putting doors and bits of furniture to Sound use! Jabba if you remember where you got the piezo from can you let me know? Put me down for the next year so nice to meet so many great people. Brilliant! Hope the recording came out alright Phil.
  11. Thanks for the comments guys. I suppose the message is never throw things away you never know what theymay be useful for one day.
  12. Meant to put this on here ages ago. It was built in 2013, and is the result of finding a piece of mahogany that I put in the shed some 30 years ago. A friend of mine also gave me a flamed sycamore plank he didn't need and someone else had some birdseye maple. Finally I also had some ebony that I'd bought a few years back. Hadn't made anything like this since the late 1960s.[attachment=241921:2013-06-22 08.18.48.jpg][attachment=241924:2013-06-24 12.10.35.jpg][attachment=241927:2014-02-25 11.04.09.jpg][attachment=241928:2014-02-25 11.06.50.jpg][attachment=241929:2014-02-25 11.09.19.jpg] The hardware is Fender N3 pickups a Badass 2 Bridge and reverse tunersplus a few other bits and pieces.
