I've just joined a pop/rock covers band and i need effects, we do a mixture of stuff like goldfrappe, sugababes, garbage, amy Macdonald, dido, blondie, duffy, pink, aye its a female singer! a bloody good one too! Do you's think these would be good enough effects, the right effects and in the right order?? i have some of these pedals but this is what i plan to beg,steal or borrow! A bit of disco, soul, dance, rock, funk, everything really! Have i chosen the right pedals? BASS->BBE OPTO STOMP->BOSS GE7 EQ->BOSS TU2->DIGITECH BASS WAH SYNTH->DHA VT1 BASS PURIST->GLX BASS OVERDRIVE->BEHRINGER DIGI REVERB->EH SMALL CLONE->AMP I've got 30 songs to learn for my first gig with this new band in a week and just one practice so i want to make a good impression with the right sound, the tunes are all pretty easy and this band make loadsa wonga! well, £50 each is pretty good aint it?! ha ha!

I just got rid of a '64, nice smooth body, boiled strings but the only problem was it was neck diving all over the place, must be the brass truss rods. on the look out for something newer but i'm in no hurry, i'll bide my time. ooo, just thought i could get a new made in taiwan one now, a bit costly though, so i've heard! and probably got the same indiscrimate neck diving gobble action!

I watched it all the way through and i dont really like it either apart from the middle bit which is better, more melodic. But i wish i could play half a flashy as him. Respect is due!

I got this from a mate who found it in a flat he rents out! Its a Wesley Europa. All i've done so far is strip off the rubbish paint job and gave it a new look and removed the frets. i'll (hopefully) change the pups and bridge when i get round to it! So far its only cost £20 for the paint and alot of elbow grease! What do you's think? Not sure if it classes as porn!

cant remember if these basses where bought in the 80's or early 90's but here goes... Aria Pro 2 FB series Washburn XS-4 (I think) Aria Pro 2 IGB-SPT before 80's HM paint job. And after its Q5 paint job! Anyone remember 80's metalers Q5? Sorry about the rubbish pics.

The lesson i learned in 2007 is that work [u]always [/u]gets in the way of rock n roll! 2 drummers too busy in 2 months all due to work! So if you know of a good drummer in Aberdeen who's into the Ruts and not too busy with work gimme a shout!

i inherited a wesley europa ( the rickenbacker lookalike) and im in the process of stripping the paint off and defretting it and give it some new pups and a new paint job, i'll post pictures when im finished but for the money these things look ok but i havent played one yet but id listen to what bassassasin says!

just tell him your from orkney and can pick it up in person and wait for the email from him asking why your werent there and then you'll know if its fake or real!

I used to smoke weed before gigs years ago but the paranoia got too much so i dont do it anymore. Now i have about 3 or 4 pints before i go on depending if its a week night or a weekend, week nights i have a pint of shandy and a couple of redbulls but weekend gigs i have a tipple but i only play punk so its pretty easy to play while mashed!
