4.
All I ever hear is sub-bass tractor noises and pseudo guitar noodling, all circus tricks and never anything I would call enjoyable music (and, trust me, I am not narrow minded about it) . I have been out playing and watching live music for three decades now and rarely even see anyone playing a 5-string, never mind a 6. But what and where are you guys with the 9 string basses playing? Or do they never get out of the bedrooms?
I agree with you bilbo! I'm a firm believer that if you cant do it with 4 or 5 strings, why bother doing it at all! Get a guitar. IMHO.
 5.
what colour did you go for? Mines not bloody turned up yet. Got a feeling it wont. I wont hold my breath.
i hate it when that happens! i hope it turns up today. i ordered the 3 tone sunburst, i usually go for black but really like the look of the 3ts.

 10. I'm thinking of getting a new bass (again!) and have my eyes on a highway one fender p bass. Any of you guys played one? I can get a new 3 tone sunburst for £500. Are they american made? cause i thought american p basses cost over a grand! Reason i'm getting another bass is i've just joined a tribute band to The Ruts and the highway one looks nice and 70's looking! ha ha, the wife isnt happy about it

 22. What was the bassline you heard that made you decide to be a bassist? I think mine was probably Pretty Green by The Jam, so easy but so effective! Then i started saving for my first bass which was a KAY bought from Marshal Ward clubby book back in the year dot!
 23. Here's me playing in the sun (remember that!) And here's me nae playing in the sun!
 24. i'm in a punk covers band and play the clash, sex pistols, chelsea, generation x etc, and last week we got asked by some drunk neep who was obviousley in the wrong place to play crystal chandeliers ha ha so we did it, 100 mph, with made up lyrics about song requests for the verses....the dick that asked for it wasnt too pleased but he didnt ask again and everyone was in fits of laughter
 25. Good, as long as you enjoyed it! time to start saving up for a hartke. The punk band i'm in always gets asked to turn it down but just like your band our drummer is a one volume only kinda guy. Actually been told 'you're too loud and you're not gettin to play' a few times
