1.
Thanks chaps I really can't get over how good a 5 string this is.. It really does bury everything else i've tried before.... the feel is just perfectly comfortable for me... trouble is I now really have GAS for this: http://www.bassdirec.../M5Front590.jpg I think this maybe my perfect bass... IF it feels and plays the same and with that Stingray sound... what do you guys
Have a look at this video (apologies if it's been posted before!) http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=blkrjAa4kvI
2.
Nice bass Tom
Yep, I agree!
3. According to the FNM FAQ page * Zon Sonus bass * Bartolini P/U's * 2 Peavey CS1200 Power Amps * Peavey TB Raxx preamp * Sans-Amp PS-21 * Dbx 166 Compressor * 2 Peavey 15" cabs * 2 Peavey 8x6 (?) cabs And if you have a butchers on YouTube there's a live American tv performance of 'Ricochet' from around 1995-ish and he got some Peavey cabs behind him.
4. Ordered the standard gramma pad from Dolphin Music, had an email to call them back, did so and as they were out of stock of that one they offered me the great gramma for the same price, it promptly turned up when they said it would! Excellent service in my book.
5. Tried out my new Great Gramma at rehearsal last night, have to say very impressed as was only using one cab (due to dodgy speakon lead) and up against 2 VERY loud guitarists...and I could still hear myself! Highly recommended.
6.
Just joined the gang - I've got the feeling i've just stepped over the edge and it's a slippery slope... [
...very true!

Spectors?!

Having owned various Fenders, Yamahas and Ibanezs over the years - the only basses that I've ever been truly happy playing are Spectors (had an SSD NS-94 for about 8 years) and came back to them last year, now have 2. John - you won't regret getting one!
8. Yep, as the gents above said!
9. Spector and Status would be two I'd be interested in!
10. One of my earliest influences and i still wonder how he got that tone on 'The Real Thing'!
11.
Let's see, where to begin..... Cheers Dan
12. After a couple of rehearsals with my new (and very loud) band, these are doing the job for me http://www.amazon.co.uk/Alpine-Music-Safe-Filter-Plugs/dp/B000VO8PR0/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1342809406&sr=1-1
13. Hi Joel, Welcome to BC, enjoyed the latest issue of BGM - keep up the good work! Cheers Dan
14. Mine would be... Dug Pinnick Geddy Lee Eddie Jackson Flea John Entwistle Tim Commerford Doug Wimbish Cliff Burton Billy Gould Chris Wolstenholme
15. Oops, my bad, it's only cos I've got the EMG-HZs' on my custom and my classic has the SSD pickups!
16.
Bargain for £130!
Yep, most definitely! Judging by the pickups, think it could be a Legend Custom.
17. Another thumbs up for the BH500, cuts through 2 drop tuned geetars, vocals and drums with no problem!
18. Good on Badass for getting some info on when we might see the next issue but in a similar situation to the iBass thread - couldn't they have just sent a quick email to subscribers or put a post on their Facebook page? Though have found out they have a new editor in Joel McIver (writer of many cracking rock biographies)!
19. Bought a TC BC210 cab from Alan sat pm and arrived this morning, good communication and good price...thanks again. Cheers Dan
20. Lovely pics Trevor, and nice to see the new distributor for Spector making an effort with the stand...Don't know who the bloke is that Dood's speaking to though...
