OK al stick my neck out here. yep the Berhinger to me tracks better than the boss, and i like the sound better it seems warmer. i have tried and still have a few oct pedals. even the boss bass synth and the Digitech bass envelope filter which has a sort of synth octave on it both not as good as the behringer, i know pino used a boss oc2 which to me is better sounding than the 3 but even this when i play fretless does not sound as good as the Behringer UO300, or the newer SO400 the switch on the left on the UO3 has a high mid and low when its on low its muddy like the boss keep it on mid and keep the other 2nd low oct knob to 0 and its a tight stevie wonderish sound Just try one see if it works for you, if not sell it... easy
name=XPAULUSX any advice on the hollow stage situation?
I learned 30 years ago if your on a stage and want a tight sound lift the cab off it, I have been using something like this.. for years now and it great... Depending what one i use I stick both my Trace 4 x10 or my swr red head on it, the legs are extendable so you can have any height you want, because its higher you can hear it clear as a bell so makes you play better tighter it also brings down the stage volume so the sound man will love you. Try it you wont look back ! Reg trace elliot,..... I have just starting using my Ah350 and MK1 4x10 again on the above stand and it sounds tighter than a gnats chuff. the only time i put a cab on a box stage floor is in a marquee where you need the bass to project and then i use my SWR 6x10 and a SM500 pro. The ah350, i sold my old one and after a while i missed it, so i hunted for another one and found this one, so this one is staying now, i love it, not as open as the swr but great for what im using it for at the mo. the mk 1 4x10 i have had for 30years ish. i should uprate the speakers for the 350 but because of the stand i dont have to have it loud and so never bothered as it sounds so good.

Funny enough i have the HK 6 fretless copy of that bass which is just unbelievable for what i paid The best £190 i have EVER spent i love it, i use it with a guitar effect from the dr880 number U02, clean chorus with a bit off less reverb is just the best dreamy creamy fretless bass sound, as good as the fantastic Boss RV3 which is still for me the best live, Anyway good luck.

By far one of the best bits of "usable" kits i have got for my studio, i now use it all the time, the pre amps in it are fantastic, i dumped my behringer bass amp sim this is so so so much better quality, the power bass effect is to die for recorded. and now use it 90% of the time when putting bass down it gives me that clear crunch from the frets i cant get with any thing else, sounds as clear as something from "The nightfly" Also if your into learning different styles this has bass patterns to match beats you can turn on and off, so handy as a learning tool. As a drum machine its also great, i have it hooked up to my Roland TD12 kit i can then use the outputs to have bass drum, sn drum, others, and percussion on 4 sep tracks to the recorder as well as the td 12 own outputs, am waffling now great bit of kit all bass players should have.

The curveball, there are two pics of the same make of bass ( although different basses) Rich, your close Number 4, there cant be many bass makers that take the trouble to curve the fretboard like the 50s 60s fender basses -
Know my bass's what? Apostrophe abuse: I HATE IT
yea yea yea ok al change it ..... and breathe out -
RULES..... there are 10 photos, i want the name of each bass, just the make will do. please list your answers 1 to 10. IE 1,? 2,? 3,? ETC now, if you get only 5 right im not going to say anything, the winner is the first to get all 10 right, no questions to me, talk here amongst yourselves is fine The first to get all ten right gets to host the next ten pics if he or she wants to. No electric cavities or backs of pickups inside neck joints please. only what we can see to make it fair to everyone. i have started this one relatively easy with only one curveball. nothing obscure. (too !) If i feel one pic is taking too long al swap it for another of the same bass. Have fun. 1 2 3 4 4 5 6 6 7 8 8 9 9 10
