    ok, they have arrived, and after a few days now of comparing them. there was no doubt something wrong with the other pair as these new ones are definitely better with no phasing going on. soooo.... after a good listen.. and from back up responses from my older mixes. the last few mixes i have done with the superlux HD660 some have said the mix is a little dull and needing more sparkle at the top. this i can now put down to the superlux are alot brighter at the top end so when i do my mixing or more to the point adding EQ at the end, i am pulling down the hi end thinking there is quite a lot going on up there, when in fact it was the HD660s ( being over bright) Very noticeable when i now use the Beyer DT770 pro. so i went back to one of my mixes, and reEQ the mix as a quick test, and hay presto my mix is now brighter, and more accurate to the top end when trying against the monitors they now seem right. the bass end also is is better i can clearly hear the more subby lows in as much as the Beyers will go to that i just could not hear with superlux. But for now... thats all i have for you guys as usable information, i can only see how it all goes as some of you say they need to "Burn in" ? But as AL Nico says above "they really let you know if something is a bit harsh in the highs." i can only agree with him there, thats bang on as prooved in the twice mixing of the same song. A real learning curve here, we are always learning. but i still maintain when you get use to one set of headphones and then change them you have to almost reEQ you head. Anyway i am really happy now with the DT770s so i will just stick with them for now and see how i get on the more i use and get use to them Cheers guys

    ok........ i lent a pair from a friend, and..... totally different.. in my new pair in comparison there is like some phasing going on so..... they are going back will update this when i get them.

    I got a set of Beyerdynamic DT770 pro 80ohm headphones. these.... https://www.thomann.co.uk/beyerdynamic_dt770_pro80_ohm.htm been waiting all xmas for them could not wait to try them. got them and just spent the day testing them and..... disappointed 😞 i can say from what im hearing they dont sound as good as the copys made by superlux for £32 ! Superlux HD-660 Pro 32 Ohms these https://www.thomann.co.uk/superlux_hd_660_pro_32_ohm.htm seems more Clearer, more open stereo field, better top end. bass is better in the beyers though Now it might be because they are colored but on testing them against my monitors i have to say the cheap superlux are more correct to my monitor sound through tannoy and roland DS90s it might be just what your use to i suppose, or there might be something wrong with them so i will have to borrow a pair to see. be interesting if anyone has heard these coming from the 770s to the hd660s

    SOLD.. never got round to doing it, its still as new in the box its got everything you need to build it, all you need is time. the top is really nice to be fair, its bound as is the neck, it is bookmatched perfect as well (you can't see it well in the pics at all really, will try and get a better pic) i was going to brown stain it to highlite it. ohhh well, nice project for someone or a present, here it is PM if interested. cheers all

    ok i have an idea tea has now gone up again, by about 10% so i was thinking..... if i take say 10% of tea out of the tea bag and say another 5% for time loss wear and tare on the scissors and other such expenses i think i can offer the free teabag again, but a bit lighter. so maybe drink it out of a small tea cup rather than a mug. electric has also gone up so it will have to be cold water untill electric goes down. im not too sure how much the water will be for the cup ? i will measure one out and clock the water meter this of course is an added expense you will have already paid for as part of the 5% tea tariff so please do not worry about that. you can of course bring your own hot water in a flask, in which case i will reimburse with a few crumbs of tea from the 5% back into the teabag. Yea i think this could work.

    sorry im late to the party. i only found out yesterday, but it was no surprise when my mate clarky ( i.clarke on here) called me yesterday and told me about it. As much as i love G&L basses ( and have 4 of them) i could see this day coming for a long time from my own experiences dealing with them. A sad time indeed, and a sad end to leo's legacy.
