"So the band in here last night, guy comes out, long fur coat and frilly panties, that's different I thought but then I noticed the bloody drummer, wearing a watch I tell ya, in here, The Coach And Horses, a bleedin' wrist watch!".
Hahaha!! And they probably turned up without d&b monitors too.
 2. Bump
 3.
I've been to shows where I wished SOMEONE in the band had a watch so they might have started ON TIME!
That's because they are all fur coat and no knickers.
 4.
There's some interesting stuff coming out in here.
Never heard of them.
 5.
I played for years with no front head on the bass drum, so the floor tom would go inside, and the rack tom would balance on top. One trip for the drums, then one trip for cymbals, snare and stands. I thought it was super efficient and I never had a problem. Apparently it looks unprofessional so now I have to make 3 trips and f*** about with bags
You must have looked like a right clown - especially if you were also wearing a watch!
 6. Flavour Flav - because wearing a timepiece on stage is where it's at
 7.
Don't read too much into wattage I don't pretend to understand the physics with this kind of stuff, but my Aguilar 500w head was not as loud or powerful sounding as a GK MB 500w head. In a similar sense, my tecamp 900w head was not as loud or powerful as this Darkglass head. Again, lots more goes into how a head sounds and how much it puts out of the speaker than just the power module itself, Class a/b and Class d alike. Look at Trace Elliot, I don't think anyone would suggest that any modern class a/b or d amp could match it watt for watt.
Agreed - mum EBS HD350 is louder than most other much higher wattage amps that I have played. And the same ICE module that is in this DG head is in my Kemper - and that can get pretty serious too.
 8.
I almost lost a gig because I didn't want to put my drums in cases, which seems about as petty as a watch?
Well, it's not very rock and roll is it. Depends what kind of cases though... I used to play in a band where the drummer turned up with his kit in bin bags.
 9.
Should I wear a watch for an audition but explain that I won't wear it live or play it safe and just not wear it at all? What if I'm then late for the audition?
Now that is an interesting one. Maybe you should phone in advance. I'm sure that they will take you entirely serious and thank you for being so thorough when coming to the audition process.
 10. I thought phones on stages were a big no no too?
 11.
pratt, look at the state of his bass, he must have been wearing his watch on the wrong wrist for ages to cause that much damage
12. Look at this idiot. I do like the way the photographer had a little joke by "framing" it with the girls arm.
 13.
think? I don't think I play bass
Ah - going by your avatar, you play your bass the wrong way around anyway Easy to make a watch mistake doing that!
 14.
I do agree it needs to be worn on the fretting wrist after I scratched a near perfect Stingray with my metal strapped watch
I bet you looked like a right weapon wearing that watch on stage. What were you thinking?
 15.
And the only photo of a Kiss member wearing a watch ON STAGE, it appears to be hidden under a wrist band. And it's the drummer, who IME always seem to be uncooperative and unconcerned when it comes to getting the band image right.
I proved you wrong and now you are bending the rules to suit! Was Pete Best kicked out for wearing a watch but an entirely different story was fabricated?
 16. And before anybody says... "what about on stage?"... This guy is so crazy, he wears it regardless of it having no longer having a function! Talk about screwing one's career!
 17. Thousands stay away as Kiss member wears the wrong watch shocker!
 18.
I get it. It's just that for most bands a wrist watch wouldn't impact the style in any significant way
Surely it depends if you wear it on your right or left wrist?
 19.
a quick glance down at the £2.83, eBay special, stick on digital clock on my pedal board will tell me when to wind the set up
You need to up your clock game..
 20.
I love the way the six pack of short mic stands costs more than their normal ones. The price difference must be to pay the fella with the saw who cuts them down to size!
I'm guessing they don't sell as many so don't get the volume price breaks that they get for the normal ones...? Maybe....?
 21. Don't forget the fresh pair of strides.
 22. I always found that it's other people that suck the soul from you.
 23.
I'd be Paul McCartney, 1962 to 1970. I wouldn't have minded being in Motley Crue too, although I think a couple of weeks would probably have been enough...
You can't be Paul McCartney for all of that era... one of them died - so which one would you be?
 24.
I really don't think that anyone actually needs a watch to tell the time while they are on stage performing. If you've done your pre-gig preparation properly then you'll know how long the set lasts and also how long each individual song is so that you can adjust as required to take account of any over-run.
I completely agree... who needs a naff watch...?
